And then there are the disappointments. The last one was from a Copa seeds "Buy 1, Get 1 free" special.
That's all it said, and there was nothing else in my cart or invoice.

I thought I was getting 2 packs of 'Crazy Bitch' for $50 and was stoked!
What I actually got was 1 pack of crazy bitch and half a pack of Ancient OG. (5 seeds)

So the special deal was actually "Buy 1, Get half a pack of something different"... which is a little harder to sell.

It was a learning experience.

If This did not happen at Great Lakes Genetics Why are you posting it in the GLG thread.
GLG list the freebies you are getting on you invoice and then gives more.

And in defense of the other seed banks. I use the BOGO free term all the time.
And it never implies that you get a for sale pack as a freebie.

For example the The 3Thirteen promo says BOGO free. You get to pick a 3 pack fem or a 7 pack regular.
That is a BOGO free.

And as for @CopaGenetics You pay $50 for a pack and get a free pack 5 pack of a Ancient OG.
That is a great deal. And it is a BOGO.

And the biggest thing here is they are freebies. FREE

You are wrong here. Priority mail does not show up in 2-3 days every time.
And Yes they do take 2 weeks some times as your own package proves.
I explain this every Christmas, and this year has a pandemic to boot.

Please chill out. These are crazy times and we are all already stressed out.

I have to side with you somewhat on this. It would be nice if it was explicitly described what you will be getting. Number of seeds, reg or fem, etc etc etc. BOGO does sort of imply you will be getting another of the same thing or at least a full pack.

Shirt sizes are listed at the bottom of your invoice when you CK out. You pick your shirt size then. @bythekasiz

You posted that some other seed back shorted you. So tell me, did you get what you ordered from me and then sum?


The reason this bothers me is the whole year of 2020, I have given out extra freebies to every customer.
Even a $30 pack from San seeds came with a 5 pack freebie and a koozie and slaps.
I felt if peeps could not work, maybe they would have time to grow.

You have to understand that your regular freebies are of no use to some of us. I have gotten everything I ordered and going into every order, i knew when it said buy one get one free that it didnt necessarily mean it would be a free pack of seeds from that breeder, whether or not they would be feminized, or how many would be in the pack. My point is simply that if you advertised "Buy a fem pack of 3thirteen, get a 3 pack of greases pieces free", then people would know exactly what they are buying and any other freebies are just a bonus. When you put that specific example in the cart, it shows the greases pieces as "1 pack" So is that one seed, 3 seeds, a hundred seeds? Are they feminized? From my research it looks like its a 3 pack fem but hard to say for sure. That particular freebie is honestly more enticing than the pack that has to be bought in order to get them so it would be nice to know how many are in it is all im saying. A lot of the packs are titled comes with free pack of something like "3 dragons x sunshine 4" and a lot of people who dont have a really good understanding of GLG might assume that freebie would be a feminized pack from the same breeder that they purchased their seeds from and of the same sex, not your own cross. It should be specified who bread the freebie, what sex it is, and how many per pack. A company like CSI for instance doesnt even tell you freebies come with every order yet they toss in handfulls. Granted most of them are what they have swept off the floor and dont really know what the cross is.

I can just totally understand how someone would think they are buying one thing and not getting what they expected is all. You could send me a half gallon jar full of regular seeds and no matter how great they are, if they aren't fems, im likely never going to grow them. I do still appreciate it and its cool that i can give them away or whatever but I have a stockpile of fems that are going to take me a couple years just to get through every strain. I have to keep a low plant count and I just dont have time for males.

I guess the point is that when you start advertising that something free comes with a specific purchase, it starts to become more of a "package deal" than freebies. Like the pack of monkey juice- not quite worth 60$ to me on its own, but toss in a half pack of greases pieces..... then it starts to make me drool because i get two strains from the same breeder and both are feminized.

Kind of see where we are coming from? For me its just a minor frustration not knowing exactly what ill get. For a new customer, I could see the confusion and issues they might have with it.

Complaining about freebies is bad form. GLG is good shit and they always take care of you. There is nothing technically untrue by saying bogo, buy one pack, get one freebie pack...even if the freebie packs are smaller. As a consumer you can take your money anywhere, but GLG consistently delivers. Merry Christmas all.
