Weird that it was just the purple strains.
Purple = bad. Green = good. Got it.
Same experience. All purple autos I have grown have been crap in comparison too basically all other autos I have grown. Dont know why. Just how its been.

Glad we are all on the same page now. Not only do they have almost no kick, they taste like shit. Purple leaves in fine as long as the buds are green or mostly green. But it seems like everyone is crossing autos with the same shitty purple strain and they are all turning out garbage... The darker the purple, the worse the smoke. Sweet seeds dark devil is almost black and it is sooo bad. It looks like it should cost at least 500 an ounce but smokes worse than brick weed.

This xs 1000. Looks good. Friends go nuts while its growing because it looks nice. Smells meh and tastes like absolute shit. I have in fact smoked better weed bought off the guy on the beach in Mexico. Sadly.

I would consider growing it for ornamental purposes only. Its pretty. But thats about it.

Gotta be honest. I have not nor has my wife even noticed the additional electricity bill. Its nominal.

Believe me.... if there was something worth noting my wife would have let me know lmao
100w ain't shit honestly

pretty much a free grow (electric bill wise)
Yeah, that's why I was considering getting the light myself. That and the cost of the light itself. The space issue was why I was hesitating.
The light itself comes in at about the cost of 15g of weed. Add 3g for the electricity, I break even at about 18g.
She surprised me with the cleared space. I really lucked out with her.
I'm going to grow them all at some point. Some Scots in my background, no way am I going to let the money spent on the seeds be wasted.
If the Blackberry turns out like you guys are saying I can just make oil or hash for cooking out of it. But if I'm going to jump back into the indoor saddle, I think I'll try to grow something we'll enjoy, and she really does love White Widow.

Fair play mate, thats the best auto I have ever seen
Yeah but to be fair its hydro and that tent is nowhere near 100% full so the plant is getting every bit of what the light is throwing down. Like.... if i had just flowered one of these in the middle of the tent, yeah it would yield more, look better, etc etc. But then i wouldnt have even come close to maximizing my grow space. Two pounds from one plant or one pound per plant x 4.

Nice, pretty even canopy there.

It's a 5x5 and yeah it's not even close to 100% full. The four autos were LSTed in a 32"x32" tent until flower and then moved into that 5x5. I wanted to keep them in the flood table and stand that is meant for the smaller tent as well. Spread them out as best I could with what I wanted to work with. Flood table is super easy drain to a tray below, so I choose that over moving every plant every feed.

I think that had I grown just that Big Bud Auto, I showed previously, from start to finish in the 5x5 I probably could have had it spread wall to wall.

Oh youve got 4 plants in there nice. I was thinking it was one plant in a 3x3. Those are some donkers. I do notice autos seem to put out more "baseball bat" kolas but they usually are pretty fluffy compared to photos in my experience.

If you want an easy way to drain a flood table....

You can just pump into a bucket or whatever. Also helps with vertical space if thats an issue for you because you can set the tray right on the floor.

I have a transfer pump like that for transferring nutrient solution from 5 gal buckets to a 1 gal watering jug. DTW coco here, don't want any of the runoff staying in contact with the cloth pots. I may build another larger flood table and stand for the 5x5, i love the setup. Eventually the drain will be automated from the tents to pump to a drain. Small steps at a time, just got the 5x5 going.

The four autos, the other three seem to be a few week behind. Lot of hate on autos. I think most of that is new growers having terrible first impressions due to initial lack of growing skill. Either that or long time growers that tried them a long time ago. Genetics have been vastly improved. I have 6 autos going now, I've only been extremely disappointed in one of them. It's a BlimBurn seeds Northern Lights Auto. It's been on the extreme edge of nitrogen toxicity it's entire life. It's sharing spare and nutrient solution with an incredibly healthy and bushy Lemon Auto. I refuse to lower the feed when the other is so healthy, and the NL has struggled from go.

How much nutrient solution you mixing at a time? Might want to look into setting up one of these...

My biggest issue with autos is that ill never be able to reliably get 4 of them to fill up a 5x5 tent growing in organic soil. Also very hard to get good auto genetics.
