I got a question about wiring. For the ground wire coming off the driver I am going to connect that to the ground wire in the plug, but also I was wondering if I should connect it to the frame of the fixture? So the fixture has a direct path to ground? Also do I want a ground path from the aluminum the strips are on to where the plug would be grounded (I am sure the aluminum contact is enough)?

It kinda depends on the tape. Ive had great tape (3M but cant find it no more) and shity tape. One thing about those slims and similar plastic strips: if they ve been kept stored outside their box they have a tendency to bend and lift the ends. Theytape may have a "hardening" time during which youll need to press down the ends, "lifting" is the one direction that the tape has problem with.
i do like my screws on the eb3 slim.
they bend in the packaging also.
but 2 screws and theyre tight as guitar strings.
i do like the flexibility have to say, makes them very headbutt safe.
not only for the headbutter, but also for the strips, no dent in the car, it flexes back.

So the TRP drivers I got are only 1-10v dimming which means they are always on either 10% up to 100%.

So I was wondering do you think I could use a relay like this? And wire it so that at 5V (50%) or less then the relay would just cut power to the driver or can it be wired into the dc circuit and just cut power to the LEDs directly? Thus giving me dimming off/50-100% dimming.

High Output 185 lm/w @1.4

naturally the lm/w would increase significantly as the wattage is reduced..
They are definitely not "significantly" more efficient. They test the Gen HO @25c so obviously they are being cooled somehow. If you reduce the current and run them at .7 what temp would they be at without any cooling (no heatsink)? If it was 25c then they are the same efficiency.

They’re both tested at 25c, as wattage increases efficiency goes down at the same temperature.

if you guys know the used diode you can compare them in the SMD product sim exel sheet from bridgelux.
can be found in this link.
the eb3 diodes are easy to indentify, as theyre called gen3.
