Grow space

Depends on how big you're growing them and how you're growing them. Hydro or coco and 4 plants will eat that space. Think room for a humidifier, heater, drain pan, environmental controls.

I grow in a 4.5'x5.5'x8' room. Two plants on a 2.5'x4.5' shelf easily fill half the floor space.

Also keep in mind. Cannabis stretches more when its crowed. If the plants touch in veg. They'll compete for overhead space. You can grow the identical plants in both scenarios. And they'll look totally different.

6 Plants. Thats a big variable. lol I fill a pretty good sized room with 6 plants. One plant per 1kW HPS. 4+ pound trees. I also have a 2x4 foot (I don't do meters lol) tent that I use for flowering seed runs, test genetics, breeding and such, I commonly run 8 to 12 plants in it using a SoG tech. Those are two extremes and you can do anything in between. Longer veg time = less plants in a given area. So if I was running 6 plants for max yield I want those big trees. If I was running 6 plants just to test the genetics then I don't want to invest as much space per plant so I can do more plants (more picks for the winning lottery number lol). So what are your goals with the 6 plants? If it's just make some personal smoke and have a little variety then perhaps a 4x4 tent with 4 plants flowering and a 2x4 veg tent dedicated to mother plants. Or maybe just a 4x8 tent with 6 plants from beginning to end if you don't wish to keep mothers and prefer to wing it each run with new seeds.

Wow! that is hell of a setup and nah I'm not looking for anything quite as extreme as that, only on my second grow so still just learning bits and pieces not gonna over work myself with keeping mother plants in veg just yet, all I want is a fair amount for smoke and maybe sell a little on the side to make back a bit of money.

If I were you I would look at a 4x8 tent, get the taller one if you can fit it. Then get good lighting. Two 1kW SE HPS lights with air cooled reflectors has been a long proven effective method. If you want to go with LED then don't skimp out on the budget because I would rather have HPS than cheap LED any day.

A 4x8 with good lighting is very capable of producing a 4 pound harvest. Of course thats if you do a good job of growing and the flip is properly timed. Flipping too early for your plant to space ratio will cause a drastic reduction in yield and of course flip too late and you run out of space.

Growing from seed on each each run without a separate space to veg in you might expect like 3 crops per year. With a veg tent and such you could expect about 4.5 crops per year.

Know that growing from seed each run can cause for some less than satisfactory runs where hermies rear their ugly heads.

I am currently using the marshydro ts1000 150w light and will continue to use this during veg I also have an optilux 600w hps which I am thinking of using during flower, i used this light for my first grow but it burned through a lot of electric so will stick to the Mars during veg

Yeah during my first grow one of my plants turned hermie due to a few environmental factors and amateur mistakes on my end but as soon as I learn the basics and advancements I will be sure to keep a mother plant when I find some quality genetics. This is just the trial and error period for me until I develop a good understanding. Thanks for your recommendations and info
