Would you defoliate here?

Hey guys, have a Tangerine Dream auto which is 58days old from sprout. She's pretty short and compact but she looks healthy despite some minor issues like purple tips because of low temps. The bud sites in each branch are starting to "connect" and form nice long colas. Some budsites are covered from the the leaves. It's a small plant but has a good amount of leaves. It's the only plant that I haven't defoliated. Would you defoliate if you were in my shoes? Thanks in advance.20210118_155627.jpg20210118_160300.jpg

I think it’s too far along, small possibility of stressing her out. You could remove a small amount of leaves if you’re looking to open up more bud sites to direct light
Thanks for the input bro. I always defoliate/lollypop before flower but like I said, I didn't mess with this one for the first time. I believe that because of all these leaves working like solar panels, the buds that do get light will get nice and dense but the lower ones will be a little airy.

If it's the only plant you didn't defoliate, Leave It Alone. Then when you chop you can compare the results and see if there are any differences between leaves and no leaves.
Hey bro. Agreed 100%. I wish I had one more plant of the same strain defoliated for the comparison to be better but it's ok. I just want to go by the density of the buds.

Thanks my friend! No I won't don't worry. Will keep you updated over here every 10 days or so if I don't forget :P
But one thing concerns me a litlle. Have you noticed that trichromes “production”? Thats totally weird, how is the smell like?

Trichomes showed up very late, around day 50 for some reason. It also concerned me, but I guess they will keep increasing. Smells sweet and citrusy but this 2x2 tent is next to my bed and because the fans annoy me, I just leave the tent half open for air circulation. So the smell spreads all over the house lol.

You’re right, the leaves are legit solar panels! It’s where the photosynthesis happens and is very important for plant growth. Defoliation indoors should be militant, only removing what is necessary for maximum efficiency in flower production.

If need be.. pinch off a couple of the leaves you want to remove per day til you hit your goal. Little by little so you don’t stress it.

There is nothing there to remove, hardly.
Did you just wanna show the plant.
If so, well done!

Are you short of grow space because 100 days would get a huge photoperiod with a far higher yield
Yeah buddy last time growing autos for me. I have a 4x4 and this 2x2. I harvested 4 autos in my 4x4 and I have two last ones in my 2x2. Long story short, my 2x2 is next to my bed, the fans annoyed me, removed them, have the tent door slightly open for air circulation. Very sluggish grow. I will either start growing perpetually or just keep my 2x2 for experiments. NEVER AGAIN in my bedroom though and never again autos.
