Yes and in plant studies of other species. It's nothing special and been making cannabis growers crazy since someone first said extra yield.
It's a rare day when I see someone make it work, other species are easier to manipulate and it's bigger in greenhouse's looking for more percent yield with cheap sources.
Use it if you want, showing it's effects is hard though and like UV there's a lot of variables that can upset results. Wheat is possible the most studied, very detailed sealed room tests always happening.
