Yield guess anyone?

Would anyone care to speculate on the yield I might end up with? Is 4 oz per plant a dream? I'd be happy with 8 oz because that would pay for my grow setup but even that might be a dream? (I'm not selling weed, I just wont have to buy it anymore)

Og Gelato

Flower day 28

Growing in soil under 580 watts of led

Thanks in advance

Bro I'd be chuffed if I got anywhere near that. I find it impossible to Guage how many oz of weed is on those colas judging by look alone. I also realise I just have to wait to see what I get but it's nice to know I could potentially pull an elbow
About a pound is a running joke, too may variables, we dont know how much the room is dialed in or the competency of the grower, I would be aiming 3-4 oz a plant

I missed the joke, but cool. If I got 4oz per plant that's a pound anyway... sounds like I'm going to be happy anyway, because 8 oz was my target which is 2 oz per plant. I'm a new grower, my last grow hermied so I have no experience with harvest hence why I am so excited/curious about it all. Cheers for your reply though!

prune them and you will get a bit more harvest

Do you mean remove some more fan leaves and allow more light down in the canopy? I've been nervous with defoliation this time because like I said, last grow my plants hermied and part of the reason was likely that I fucked with my plants too much, and stressed them out.

Sorry. Yeah this question is asked over and over here. It's impossible to give an answer, it depends on so many variables. So the running joke response is always "about a pound".

A running benchmark whether accurate or not is 1 gram per watt of light. Most people consider that amount a successful grow.

Indoor plant most certainly need pruned for airflow purposes and it also lets more light to bud sites, they dont need leafs near as much as outdoors as nutrients are fully available 24/7

Pulling leaves off a healthy plant isn't going to stress them much.

No worries man, I'm new here so I know now. I can imagine it is a repeated question. I just wanted some vague idea as it's difficult to establish my own thoughts based on such a limited amount of experience. I'm guessing people generally pull between 1 oz and 4 oz per plant depending on the overall success of the grow? I'm a newbie but I've put in mad effort and time to learn propper grow techniques so maybe 2 or 3 is a realistic target for me this round

Ok mate will do. Thanks for the advice. It definately seems too bushy in there. And there are some lower bud sites struggling with a lack of light

Shit ok... that helps to see. Looks like I've been a little bitch about it and should just trust my instincts a little more
That is an autoflower also. Most people will defoliate day 1 of flower and day 21. I pull them off along the whole grow as I think they need it.

you've done good this far and they are at the perfect stage for a good prune, don't be scared to remove the big fan leafs, better cutting with fingernail for a rough cut than scissors
Thanks. Appreciate it. I've done my best that's for sure. I'd be fucked without this site and the advice and knowledge I pick up from it. I'll get in there in the morning and remove some bulk.

What! An auto? I've grown it as if it were a photo? I'm in nz, seed access here is difficult at best because its illegal. I was given the seeds by another nee zealander off this site but had no info regarding it being an auto strain. I'm running 12/12...should I be at 18/6?

I've never done autos but i'm sure they flower under 18/6

Your grow looks healthy and you should have a nice yield. Make sure you don't harvest too early. You can have a healthy grow but end up lowering your yield by chopping early. Be patient and ask for opinions when they're closer to harvest. You'll get different opinions on removing fan leaves. Some say don't touch them and others remove all but a few fan leaves. We defoliate from late veg to mid-flower, a little at a time. It's good to clean up the lower branches too. Make sure your RH is in range and give them plenty of airflow.

No lol. I was indicating the photo I shared was an auto. You're doing great, No need to worry. Sorry didn't mean to scare you.
