Stopping smoking

I want to stop smoking/vaporizing. I want to know what I have on the market as far as for someone making edibles but without a stove/oven. What are the best machines you can
Buy? I have heard of the magic butter machine, is it good? Is there anything anyone is familiar with or has heard about being good?

Making a form of cannabis butter is the easiest way imo. You can start with bud, trim or an extract. I have not used a machine so cant reco anything. Its very easy to make.

It's routine on my grows.

Harvest, trim the big leaves, dry, and trim. If it's not smokeable. It goes into clarified butter. So as I do the final trim. There's butter on the stove. Unsalted.

I've tried that, "I'll save this for later". Self interpretation, it's going to rot in the freezer. Take up space.

In practice you'd think that work but there's a butter disc from a year ago in the freezer.

I just found one. Lol. A friend who makes budda gave me a disk last year. I forgot totally about it.

I’ve been looking into the Ardent Nova. It’s quite pricey though. It will decarboxylate, fuse, and bake all in one machine. I would like to get sum real feedback from actual users on these machines before I actually drop that kind of cash myself.

Doesn't it just decarb? I've been looking at the different butter machines and I've seen the silicone decarb containers for the oven. This seems way overpriced if it just decarbs.

Both ardent nova machines decarboxylate and fuse. The older smaller model I believe was originally made as a decarb machine and then they began selling a silicone fusing sleeve for it. The newer more expensive one is bigger and if I remember correctly it is more made for decarb, fusing and baking. They sell small batch recipes to use with them, but they to are overpriced. I had a little extra cash a while back, but I couldn’t drop the $$$$ on it. I have really been wanting to get a fusing machine for a while now.

Electric pressure cooker is programable. Use it as a double boiler. I put bud and trim into quart wide mouth canning jars, top with coconut oil { leave 1.5 - 2" to top, cover loosely with lids}. Next put enough water into your pot to just under the fill level in jars. I set mine to 'soup' set the time for 30 minutes and go. Once my 'soup time is up it will keep warm for 4 hours. Butter works as well. the best part is not having to tend to it. Not, the best part is making some kick ass brownies and cakes with all the squeezin's :weed:. There's so many good ways to pull this off, try one, then try another.

Sadly you said with no oven, but will share anyways. When my family came down with Covid (April ‘20) I pretty much tried to avoid vaping (although I was asymptomatic compare to other 4 in my family and still enjoyed occasional vape) So on another board I venture on I discovered cannabis dust capsules. So decarb weed at 225f for 45-50min in oven, place toasted buds in coffee grinder, pulse to powder and fill 00 gel capsules. I do a salad of my buds and depending on what I eat I can feel them take hold in 45min or sometimes not for +3hrs. I usually take 2 pills and my high will usually last a good intense 3-6hrs and slowly disappears afterwards.

My mom uses some of my weed and makes canna butter with a magic infuser machine (same as magic butter machine) and runs it with 2-3 sticks of butter for a 4hr infusion.

I just want to share a few basics --

Once the thc and terpenes have been absorbed by the fat, whether it be butter, oil or other, the plant material has no value anymore. So that is why it can and imo should be filtered. Try a brownie with filtered butter vs the nasty granola like textures and nutty flavors of the bud where someone just breaks up bud into a mix. The plant material is what will give you an upset stomach.

There is no special magic to the decarb process. The water molecules need to be separated from the thc so the easiest way is to heat the cannabis in some fashion.

Oaksterdam teaches the same process I learned 30yrs ago. Simply double boil it in butter for half an hour, filter it afterwards and then use as you choose.

People warm it in the oven for hours all you do is burn off the good stuff and make the place stink like baked weed. Insane, hours long processes are worthless.

30+ years of making butter, it works.

I just want to second the previous post. I “decarbed” a small batch in the oven once in college 10 years ago when I had 3 other roommates in a 4 room house. When they got home that night I thought they might kick me out the house smelled so strong! Last time I used that method.. Thought to myself then that you’re just burning off the good stuff. When you go straight into the oil/butter, it retains a lot of the good stuff you’d otherwise lose in the oven-decarb. I’m far from an expert, but it seems to work great without an oven. The crockpot/double boiler method works just fine. No need for a machine, unless it makes you sleep better at night or whatever. Happy baking (but not your weed)!

i make solventless decarboxylated cannabis flower extract for my medical needs.
i take it orally in capsules.
i've decarbed a bunch of different ways, but the ardent nova helps me and my one person operation get thru harvest.
i wet trim everything off that doesn't have trichomes and then hang for about three days and then decarb whole flowers in the nova.
so much water comes out, a hack i learned after the first one burnt up, was to turn it upside down.
the theory is, on decarbing, if it's sealed, if u wait until it cools, the terpenes will re-acclimate back to the plant material.
she has labs, and my main thing is that the decarb is consistent between batches.
it works, but i have no idea about her new big one that bakes and stuff.
if the one i have breaks, i'd probably buy another one for speeding up harvest and curing for me. i'm in a very humid climate, so getting the flowers locked down quick is important.
decarbed weed supposedly will get u more stoned smoking or vaping too, but i can't feel anything from inhalation anymore.
if anyone buys her bigger one, i'd like to hear about that one.

I just bought the ardent fx and had it arrive already. How much decarbed bud for a heavy smoker. Someone who consumers 2-5 g flower a day through means like vaping, smoking, and dabbing?

oral is very different from smoking. i'd decarb a batch, store it in a jar in the frig, and start by eating one small flower broken up over a salad or something. doesn't taste bad once decarbed. or just eat the flower. the effects will hit fully in about two hours and last another 6.
if u don't like the delta 11 thc effects, nobody does, and u decide u hate it, u can always go back to smoking decarbed flowers. start very small orally.
