yes when you reduce dimmer to say 50% I don't know. I'm so confused. I have lux meter coming that will help with measuring light so I have an Idea what to dim to hanging at 12 inches. Right now my autos are 18 days old. I have light 12 inches at 35% for the next 3-4 weeks in veg. I get meter to read lux and I can be a better judge. In 3-4 weeks they will flower and I will be up to 12 inches 100% soon as I see some pistols.
You’re going to leave the light on 35% for 3-4 weeks? What’s the logic behind that?

just i need know whats happen when i reduce dimmer .. whats hapen with surface lighting
You’re making this way too complicated. Reduce dimmer reduces the wattz. The light is not as intense. So it’s not using as much electricity but you’re not getting as much growth. So up to you. You’re more worried about money than having a larger plant, that’s the way to go I guess.

reduce dimmer reduces the wattz. i understand , what i dont understand its surface , when i reduce dimmer i reduce light surface too?

The Logic is that hanging that close at 35% I'm only using a 1/3 of the electricity. I have lux meter on the way. I will be able to know exactly where to dim light to at that hight. I'm just guessing and also going with suggestion from someone else that also does this at 35%

Just curious what’s the cost to run 200w or whatever that light was? It can’t be as much as you’re making it out to be. Turn the the damn light up.

I don't know. It's winter and cold here in Canada. We use a lot of electricity keeping place warm and lite. It's also a very big house. Trying to cut costs and electricity where ever I can. 200 watts is 200 watts x 18 hours

Smaller house bigger light?  I’m kidding. I understand what you’re saying. My point is I don’t think the cost difference is as much as you think.

I know your right, but I'm a little anal-retentive. I just want to use light to its optimal potential. Why put a dimmer on the dam thing. Anyone can just raise lights.

Of course how could you not? Reduces heat output, electricity consumption, plant growth, etc.
hi sir can you tell me on mars hydro ts 3000 v/o and i/o im assuming voltage output and intensity ? is old drivers with manual dimmers i don't understand which does what? ... sorry not trying to sound dumb.. well more dumb... lol

I don’t have any Mars lights. I have no idea. There’s a Mars hydro thread here somewhere I’m sure.
