I am currently unemployed and have been for over a year. I will be going in for an interview in about a week. Should I tell them I am a patient or leave them in the dark. I have been an almost daily night time smoker for about the past 6-7 years, However I have gotten multiple jobs and passed countless piss tests with only 3-4 days of not smoking. I am 5'10' 175 lbs I remember reading somewhere that "chronic users" have an unusual phenomenon that THC and it metabolites don't get stored in the body fats as long and are easier excreted.

You do not have to disclose ANY medical conditions or treatment with an employer or a potential employer. Consider a pain sufferer that uses pain pills everyday, are they going to go to a job interview and lay it on the table that they suffer from pain and take pills? No... people don't do that.

If you are required to take a piss test, don't mention your card unless you fail the test. Asking you before hand about any medical conditions or treatments is against the fair labor act.

Ha-I just passed my drug test. I was out of a job for about 2 years. I was smoking about 2-3 times a day, really hard smoking! I passed my drug test, I really thought I was going to fail. This is how i passed my test with only two weeks of no smoking!
1- I stopped cold Turkey for the FIRST week
2- On the first weekend (Sunday) I took A full body cleanser which I picked up at GNC, called: Strip NC-full body cleanser-Extra Strength.
3-Starting on my Second week that first Monday I went out and Bought 5 Gallons on cranberry Juice (I drank Half a gallon a day) with lots of water through the day. "You must drink lots of water, Must....So stop drinking all other crap you drink"!
4-On Wednesday of the second Week I went out and Bought Cranberry Pills, which were taken twice a day with meals. Keep drinking your cranberry juice and lots of water, even though you are taking cranberry pills. You will notice your pee starting to look healthy, no neon color!
5-Do this until the night before your DRUG test!
6-The day you go for your drug test- Take 1-Centrum multivitamin, complete A to Z. This is too put the color back into urine just in case its nothing but clear urine.
7- And Congrats You will for sure Pass your Drug Test.... And this theory was just used by me...I did this 3 weeks ago and past my drug test with Flying Colors!

When you go take the test the lab will ask if you take any perscriptions, say yes and show your card and then I think you will be exempt depending on the state you live. At my old job half the dudes were junkies but had scripts from their doctor for percs but they all sold the percs and sniffed heroin. So sad.

I'd do what Serapis says, don't tell them anything. You may pass without an issue despite being a card carrying patient. Thing is, Michigan law says that while you are legal to use mmj no company MUST accommodate you.

So while you won't be arrested you CAN be fired or denied a job based on the company's drug policies.

I guess I will not tell them anything. I am not too worried about the pre employment drug test as I can seem to clean out quicker then others. It's the damn randoms that i gotta worry about but i think they use the mouth swab test for randoms and those are easy to pass.

no dont tell them. they may hold it against you. why hire a stoner when they can hire a non stoner. im not saying being a non stoner makes anyone any better than a stoner. but the boss may not perceive it the same way. best solution is to find a cool boss who lets you smoke on the job. you'd be surprised how many are actually cool with it. but of coarse you usually have to get to know them good.

the employment drug testing seems like a ploy of the war on drugs.. lots of money for the wrong reasons.. ne who i went to a pizza place the other day whom was hiring but the drug screen too.. im not drug screening for minimum wage. waste of time. although here in michigan every job is drug screened except fast food. but in order to get a job at mcdonalds or the like you need to go online fill out the bubbles and hope you get a phone call cause if you call them they dont kno what you are talkin about.... what happened to interacting with real people for a job rather than clicking bubbles for a program to weed out potential employees or dipping a color strip in your piss.

i have found numerouse jobs that arn't fastfood and do not drug test (unless work injury occurs). The less labor involved the less of a chance of a drug test.

some people, regular smoker or not, are unable to fail at most drug tests for THC, Ive seen it a million times in the hospital: someone says they smoke weed even mere hours before they came to the hospital and their test for marijuana is a big NEG - also witnessed people smoke weed outside the drug test facility and then go in and pass on multiple occasions.

This is not to say don't take the precautions, search the forums for 'staying within our laws' and you can read my thread 5 ways to pass your drug test.

The truth is that testing for marijuana methods we have in this day and age are not accurate nor fair, If left up to a real scientist to determine toxicity beyond a shadow of a doubt he/she could not do so with absolute confidence with today's technology. Drug testing is an absolute scam and society is its victim, not to mention it makes a mockery of our rights.

While I agree with your point of view, I am confused on how you determined the relative efficacy of these methods. I would have put them in nearly the opposite order, except I would have kept abstinence at the top of the list. I would think that using someone else's clean like-gendered urine is a near sure thing. Unless you're in the military, how is it not??

it is not the most effective because you must have fresh urine hours before the test and you must keep it at body temp this entire time, your right in that if pulled off correctly it could be considered the most effective however it is the most difficult to pull off and have guaranteed success

im a union carpenter and have to take tests all the time. the MM card is not accepted. i go to the shed in toledo and buy fake pee. the product is agent X. works great 30 sec in the microwave and your good for a hour or so.

I just recently took all of the tests too get into GM the only thing i have not taken is their drug test, in their policy book it only says they are looking for not prescribed and illegal drugs, But it is prescribed and legal. what are my chances of getting hired. I have not told them that I am a mmp!

marijuana is not prescribed as it is not available in pharmacies rather it is recommended, meaning the doc thinks you will get some kind of relief from marijuana

Minimum wage jobs will not drug test you, they may say they will during the application process and that is to weed out the ones scared of the piss test.
Dont tell anyone you have the card when it comes to a job. You have never smoked before and dont even know it was a problem.

My friend is a detox counselor at Drug Free Pennsylvania. What he says is that it's better to lay all cards on the table from the very beginning in such cases. The card role? Well, it depends on the company drug policy but in most cases the employer takes it into account
