I want to say, that I changed the rules to give a better selection to choose from. I had expected more entries than we actually got and that there would be more entrants with HLG lights. I apologize to anyone whom I may have disappointed. This has been a learning experience for me. I feel though that my effort to expand the field of entrants was a reasonable thing to do. Next time, the rules will be tighter.

Congratulations to the winners. I feel bad for those who didnt enter due to not qualifying. I am guessing they are disappointed by the rule changes after the contest entries closed.
I would add, the changes before that.

I appreciate what the companies that advertise on RIU do for all of us with contests and giveaways. But one thing I've noticed all of the lighting companies do is to require people in the contest be already using that companies lighting. To me this makes no sense.
If I were involved in marketing products to people like us, especially if I worked for an LED provider. I would be seeking to convert people who grow under HID lighting. I would also try to get the sun grown people on the same wagon for their off season.

I still haven't seen one of these contests (I could have missed some) work in a manner that would accomplish those goals, which is what I would be trying to do to increase the company I worked fors market share.

That's what I thought was going on when I saw this thread posted. And I thought to myself cool, finally. But then there was the whole not HLG thing. And pop22 did do his best to take care of the vague rules.

I tried LED a long time ago and hated it. And I have watched as the technology has improved. But at this point I still haven't seen a benefit to changing over from the sun, HID or a combination of both. At least with the way I grow with the seasons.

These are just my thoughts and I still like this promo. I'm just offering a suggestion to the advertisers who operate on here to expand these experiences to people whom aren't already an established customer.

Thanks again for the cool bud show @pop22 !

Your comments are appreciated. I'm working on a comprehensive set of rules for next time.
