The best cheap 600 true watt led

Hps still kicks ass in some terms. As long as you don’t care in costs on the bill and able to maintain the ambient air temps. My largest harvest from a single plant was from a 1000 watt hps You ever consider using a HO fluorescents ? I have had great success with those. Sun blaze brand
HO fluorescent? Never heard of them. Would you mind giving me some information about them please :)

@GROBRO6967 I'm an old air cooled 600 HPS grower. Go LED, HLG is probably the best there is, but you'll pay more upfront for it than other brands. I don't think you'll find a post on here crapping on HLG's lights or their customer service though. For what you'll save on electricity, your LED will be free in a few years compared to HPS. And LEDs are way easier to control. Less heat and most have a way to adjust the wattage to the LEDs. Check the resources section on the HLG site. There's good info there like this https://horticulturelightinggroup.com/blogs/product-comparison
Thanks for the information. Have you used led’s and what was your biggest yield?

I think the reason why people report having better yields with HPS is because they are keeping the room temperature in the HPS range when they switch over to LEDs. At first I thought I was trading weight for electric savings and possibly a little extra frost, but my yields increased every cycle once I got the environment properly locked in.
Ohhhhhh I guess I’ve converted into a led lover now. I guess I could try hps in the future.

For me it was burning them up with the LEDs. I pulled bigger buds under HPS when I first got the LEDs but I got some good advice form RIU members and I'm definitely pulling more with LED now. Better quality too I believe, there's more spectrum with LED, plus so much more. The light is just way different.
Ahhh I’m amazed I guess led is the way to go. Whats riu? The only ryu I know is in street fighter haha

Any decent one is, and the optimum air temp is higher (around 28 C) so there can be a substantial savings is AC costs.
BTW, I believe there's a 10% RIU discount on HLG.
Don’t know what an riu is. Wdym optimum air temp? As in the tent should stay at that temperature or the led should stay that temperature?

I have The Gavita’s 1700e LED’s, which i love. Past growing under two 1000 watt HPS, I used to average around 68 oz. Now under the Gavita's, I’m averaging 103 oz’s. They’ve paid for themselves many, many times over.

Once I saw those Gavita 1700s in action, I made the change to LED. Up until then, I never saw an LED that made me consider abandoning DE HPS.
