This thread had some of everything and was highly entertaining.
  1. OP starting a mildly controversial thread on a topic with wild disagreement - Check
  2. Three A Light references - Check
  3. Thread going badly off topic - Check
  4. Online “bigger fish” stories about mythical grows producing 100’s of pounds a year of $3700/pound top shelf dank - Check
  5. Well known members egging on a troll and him taking the bait - EVERY SINGLE TIME - Check
  6. Detailed education on the economics of concrete placement and finishing - Check
  7. Flat earth and anti-vax arguments and counter points - Check
When the “wake up and do your own research” posts started I was tempted to invoke the Ignore feature the same way I finally did with Plutonium. But, just could not bring myself to look away.

Kinda sad to see him put in time out, but following this was getting pretty time consuming.

Now I can only hope for Outpotme to post more jibberish filled musings about plans for getting those 7-month vegged indoor trees under control…

The scariest thing about old baked Jake is the fact that if he doesn't allow his kids to be vaccinated for school
It means this hick is homeschooling his kids?
Now that is moral decay in spades
My thought is what if they desire higher education? They require vaccinations. Then again they are already so smart they won't need degrees. Look at Jake, barely a high school education and he's pulling in $900k a year.

You think the 900k a year is including the 1.5 mill he makes a year selling 400 pounds of his shitty mids for 3700 a pound

Defoliation makes perfect sense if you have no clue about botany. It's 100% bro science. Ask the defoliators for some evidence that it improves your Cannabis crop in any way. Nope, all you get is "my bro defoliates and he grows fire."
Totally disagree. I had literally zero larf. My buddy had ounces of it. The difference? I defoliated regularly. Just because a plant grew a leaf doesn’t mean if you remove it, the plant will decrease in overall quality. Idk how else to explain it. Had I NOT defoliated on my first run, I’d have had PM the entire grow because I didn’t do any topping. I’m on my second run and followed a mainline tutorial and the maintenance has been significantly lower. I don’t see the point in leaving a bunch of wilted fan leaves that are basically laying down on top of the medium doing nothing but taking energy. I ask myself, is this leaf giving or taking from the plant?

Yes growing on a very large scale of 400 pounds a year with only my wife’s help with no trouble. I consider that a great accomplishment.
60 fluence and you get 400lbs a year? Thats just over 6lbs a light per year, l thought fluence advertised over 7 a light? Thats per flowering period? Could be wrong company not trying to make things worse. Sorry if l did. For the price ld think 2lbs a cycle wouldnt be hard even not dialed in. With good strain.

I will say this...if I was pulling 400lbs a year...I wouldn't be "working"...working in my garden but I don't call that work really...its not work when your doing what you love...full-time indoor/outdoor farmer is what I'd be

We have a couple of growers here that pull those kind of numbers. The difference being they've got years of pics. They also have a full and part-time crew working those gardens.
I know it goes without saying but, there is absolutely no way this dude grows that much with just one helper...especially working "80 hours a week" at a his "regular" job.

Forums have too many braggarts and not enough gardeners.

This was too good got like 16 pages in and fast forwarded to second last page. Hope hes not hand watering all those on top of it? I dont buy it but dont have to, l grow my own, and lm no pro but always trying to learn, Bk77 kicks ass once again, hes kicked mine a few times and lve learned from him. I defol yes and l lollipop. And lst like mad in veg. But always have a good canopy. I snip branches with the leaf. And l prune to get effective growth. But never top unless l lst too agressively or too late into flower. I defol and lolli bc l live in humid climes, pm wonderland. Not sure what all the bother is, are we cutting all buds off our flowering plants? No we leave top 3 sites. Having a good healthy canopy and healthy roots is backbone to flowering imo only! Ive got defoled and untouched plants. Supercropped and xmas trees, lst bushes. They all perform unless you strip them of their leaves, then they stunt. Yes and no! Depends on health of plant and environment.

Figured ld take a pic of outdoor clone, lst and lollipopped. will post pics of flowers when the time comes. Was planted may 14 from number 3 square pot. Might not be as big as in the ground but do ok for deck grow. My pruning and defol never slowed it down at all. But agree that leaves are there to photosynthisize.
