Nope. No need for the Big Grow. (but if you recycle/compost the old soil afterward it may be useful next round)

It can cause nute burn. Over watering will make the nute burn happen quicker/easier. You can't 'flush' out the nutes. (you can pick out all the little prills, but who has that kind of time and/or patience? )

But, if you have the time, you can get a bag or so and basically keep it wet (not a swamp, but wet) for say 4 months. Then a few good flushes should clear out the nutes from the MG. Letting it dry out completely between flushes.

Yes. ZERO reason to pay for shipping of dirt! Just sounds dumb typing it too.

(Now do keep in mind that most *hate* MG. But I say its a poor craftsman that blames his tools. MG soil is designed for a 'hands off' situation, ie: just water it. Think of it as dirt for dummies)

You can use the flowering nutes, at a reduced strength, if its past about 2.2 months. just watch the plants.
I just water for first couple of weeks of flowering then do the bloom boost for a *single* watering (bloom boost, like Kool Bloom x.45.?) then a single straight watering then reg flowering after that.

If you have high quality organic nutrients like the Fox Farm line then why in the f would you just stick them on a shelf and choose to go buy a bag of MG moisture control instead? I say buy a bag of soil, any soil, organic is best, that has no time release ferts and as little nutrients as possible. Grow from seed for a couple weeks feeding with nothing but water, then start Fox Farms recommended feeding schedule. No offense, but if you lack experience I think this will give you the best chance of success. If you end up burning up your plants and don't have the know how to fix the problem right away, you are going to regret going with hot soil. If you use a mild soil and add nutrients when you water, you will have much more control over your plants environment. This is all just my humble opinion though, feel free to disregard every word.

No dude i actually totally agree with you, its just the only organic
shit ive found around here is MG. And it says not for containers on
the back, so pretty much dont go pot in the soil. The only schultz i can
find has nutes too wtf..I only have access to a wallmart,lowes,and home
depot.

Home Depot sells very good brand of potting soil & top soil called "Earth Grow",it's what i use with excellent results,i make my own pro mix using materials found at any home depot.

Potting soil ........40%

Top soil .............20%

Perlite ...............30%

Masons sand ......10%

The end product ends up costing about $2 for 40 lbs & works fantastic,excellent drainage plus lots of natural nutrients from the top soil.

You could do whatever you feel is right but with growing weed you get out only what you put in,the top soil is there for a reason because that is where the bulk of the nutrients within pro mix lie,especially all the micro nutrients that are a mofo to replenish should nutrient problems develop in the grow,the masons sand add's alot of drainage to the mix without taking up very much space in the pot.

I gave up using off the shelf potting soils as they are never quality controled or way over fertilized,they are made for the average house wifes indoor plants ,not weed,the reason expensive soils like fox farms are so much better than home depot shit or scotts is because they take the tme to mix it right.

There is no easy way to get good soil unless your willing to spend the long dollar on ultra expensive designer pro mix'es like fax farms, unless your willing to buy uber expensive products right from the start,then be prepared to bend over & take the big one,and it's gonna hurt too

Not much to work with there, I wouldn't trust any of it, all of that time release nute stuff is absolute shit. Maybe look online to see if there is a hydro store at least in the same state, then shipping wouldn't be too bad, as long as you're only buying one bag. Look for Fox Farm Light Warrior, or Roots Organic potting soil, or anything that's organic and has little or no nutrients.

I honestly think his best option may be to buy time released fert soil, and pick out all the nute balls. It wouldn't take THAT long, as long as you were only removing balls from the soil that you needed along the way, not all of it at once. I just hope you aren't planting a field, that would get time consuming. But if your access is honestly that limited, it may very well be your best option.

I dont get the big deal? You need nutes one way or another, granted my foxfarm is better but if the mg has nutes, which ive SEEN do work, its just a
matter of not watering to much because that releases the excess nutes.
So if the soil will work, just takes practice. will give comparable results to
if you put nutes if yourself. Like that balls said, soil for dummies.
Im gonna try to find a good soil, scotts or so, without nutes.
But if i cant then oh well

You can grow pot just fine with MG. With that said, you can grow better, tastier pot, without having to worry about nute burn, lockout, or ph issues if you grow organically. That's all I'm getting at here, do what you will my man.
