I've been pretty disappointed by the fight I've witnessed come from our caregiver community over HB5301 in recent months, so I've taken a look into the numbers.
As of September 30, 2021 we had a total of 247,616 MMMA patients served by 29,827 caregivers .
Back on October 31, 2019 we had a total of 276,253 MMMA patients served by 37,476 caregivers.
That's a loss of over 20% or 7649 caregivers in less than 2 years. Seems like a dying breed

It looks like there is a group out of Grand Rapids called the Michigan Cannabis Caregiver Association as well: michigancannabiscaregivers.org

there is this big group of feds that operate out of a cannabis "farmers market" in michigan. if you live in michigan you know what farmers market i'm talking about...like they sit thier selling pounds every time they are open and you got to like camp out if you want a spot to sell then they follow home and bust everyone that sells and then resell the weed...
edit: ok actually they don't do that anymore...they made it where licesned growers could sell to stores... then got all their names and then said you can't do that anymore...lol...
michigan is a growers trap. if you aren't a fed...stay away... now I know why subcool would never go to michigan lol

Why would you think Michigan specifically has a fed problem? We've had a couple of notable fed stings over the past 13 years of the MMMP, but I haven't seen anything in years. Big fed stings take a lot of $$$ & LEOs and travel the country coast to coast regularly ...

soo much wierd stuff going on...like the feds are secrelty using the police up there...
i don't know why...I think it's the british trying to delay so they can get a world market advantage over us or something...they are
growing tons of weed in greenhouses over there...also lots of russians up there growing weed...
they tried locking me up in a hospital for using melted snow instead of paying for $300 water bill...then condemed my house and suspended my licesense somehow even though the lisense is from another state. they said they didn't care about the weed they were worried about my mental health...yeah right...then stole my weed....there were tons of other people there they were trying to do the same thing for as well at the hospital...they made me strip and take shower like a dog...they ask you like 1000 questions and if you say the wrong thing...into the mental hospital..

the city inspector that condemed my house was a freemason...to this day I have hated them after that lol

Has anyone looking at this special growers license. From my limited understanding it would allow ex-caregivers a chance at the market and be able to sell to medical licensed growers but not to medical dispensary.
that alone seems fucked. I mean why make “special growers” have to get stepped on twice and not go directly to the stores???
they are requiring these special growers to buy into the metric system and go through the same testing standards as the licensed growers and dispensaries.
or your limited to 24 plants for 5 patients. Is that what everybody is understanding for Michigan???

I feel like it happened so fast. Not enough time for anybody to organize anything substantial in protest.
of course it’s right during harvest time as well. Maybe the last year for a lot of folks…
