From what I've seen the benefit of photosynthesis is localized. The fan and sugar leaves on the bud are driving its growth.

I'm going to go with that....which would make me correct....although i think I defoliated too much....if i had more space i wouldn't have had to....so hence me doubling my space for my next grow....

Just ordered this LIGHT!! It's on sale for the holiday's$110 bucks off...I purchased it for my second 4x2 area this should be appropriate no?

These are 3.2 Gallon, but only 9" wide, and 15.5" deep.

2)Wood or Foam under the Pots, never on the ground. Cold roots make small buts! Try to run lights at night and be dark during the day to even out temps. Use HID for the heat if you must.

3)PH is critical to the amount of Nutrients your pants can tolerate. I love Miracle Grow Tomato Food, 1/2 tsp per Gallon, and 4 ml Cal Mag, and PH to EXACTLY 6.5. IF I use PH = 6.0, plants can only handle 1/4 tsp per Gallon at most!

4)PH Test ONLY using API's Aquarium Test Drops for $5. GH's test drops are shit resolution. ANY Digital Tester will lie to you! PH Test Drops never lie!

5)Use more light. Ditch the 2000 Watt unit and get several Mars Hydro SP3000's at 300 Watts each. 1200 Watts will yield 2 LBS. Use at least 1 as a side light shining down 45 degrees or even less to illuminate at least one side of your crop. Bathtub crops work best for this.

1) A deep pot doesn't produce bigger buds. I would say the opposite. A wide shallow pot allows for better drainage and aeration.

2) Definitely keep your pots off of the ground. If you're going to use wood make sure it's treated. Elevating your pots above the saucer so that the plant isn't sitting in its wastewater is also important.

3) PHing the water is critical for hydro, but it's highly disputable with soil.

4) It's nice to use drops as a backup and the occasional cross reference, but a Blumat PH sensor is a very good investment. Mine has never drifted more than .1, and that was after maybe a year of not recalibrating it. That was because my numbers were pretty much the same every time, so there was no reason to suspect anything.

5) The Spider Farmer is only 200w. That's the biggest problem I see. The jury is still out on side lighting. What the heck is a "bathtub crop"?


In short: not bad advice, but a little off.

Why are you trying to push so high levels? More nutrients don't equal more buds. Your plants are already showing signs of nutrient burn, I'd be lowering them not raising them.

I'd expect your trunks and stems to be much larger especially in DWC. I'd suspect an issue with either light height or nutrient schedule as they grew. A SF2000 is enough to grow two medium size plants.

Honestly GH 3 part flora series is PH balanced....the only problem i have is sometimes the PH gets too low......but I rarely i mean rarely have to lower it....

I'm using the fox farm nutes rt now, but if I don't like the end result , I will switch. I was going to get the pH perfect line, but I fell for an Amazon promotional thingy and I saved $20 whole fucking dollars. Oh well I'm still learning.
