Hey wanted to create a thread solely for Relic Seeds. I saw Dynasty and AK had their own threads but wanted something independent.

I was jus curious i anyone had more information on the following:

Cough Bx 2
Grapefruit IBL
Super silver Grapefruit
G13 / Haze Bx

1. what makes up his grapefruit - is it the Cindy cross or the Sour D pheno?
2. What phenos can we expect in the cough bx2
3. More info on their lineage and flowering times
4. Any cool stories behind these strains

Just curious...have you checked out the relicseeds IG account? There's a lot of info in post comments as relic interacts with people. You can also check the dynastygenetics and professorp420 IG accounts, as sometimes there's posts and info that spills over. https://www.relicseeds.com/genetics is another great place to find a little more info too.

Relic said on their IG that the grapefruit is neither the Cindy nor the Sour D, though one of the phenos he found from the Grapefruit seeds is "like sour d." The grapefruit came from Sow Low Farms, which was originally a cut selected from NL1 and crossed to make the grapefruit. Sow Low got the seeds around 2005 and said they originally came from Amsterdam. That's a long winded way of saying "no one knows for sure."

The G13/Haze originally came from Nevil. Relic used his Sister Nice (Oregon Afghani x G13/Haze) in the bx.

Cough Bx is Cough x Consumption. Cough is a cut of NL5/Haze and Consumption is cough x (tk x nl5/Haze). Consumption is a collaboration with AK Bean Brains.

I can't for the life of me remember where I read it, but the Super Silver Grapefruit was not at all what I thought it would be based on the name. (I'd think Super Silver Haze x Grapefruit F2 or something similar.) I want to say it's like Grapefruit IBL x G13/Haze, but I legit can't re-find where I read it.

Not sure if it’s a different cross, but I got a Super Silver Grapefruit as a freebie and it says it’s Super Silver Haze F2 x Grapefruit F2. That was like a year or so ago, so not sure if it’s something else now.

I clicked through his site a little and wasn’t able to find the exact strains, so I appreciate you piecing it together.

I haven’t tried reaching out to the professor yet, just the relic IG, which was more of the same with the site.
Fascinating about the grapefruit, I would had never guessed. So I would imagine it’s a indica leaner.

I do believe that the super silver grapefruit fruit is SSH F2 x grapefruit F2. - based on the packaging label.

interested to know the origins of their sour for the relic grapefruit.

I must have been thinking of something from someone else--which is probably why I couldn't find the source. Thanks for keeping me honest!

Relic grapefruit is Grapefruit IBL x Grapefruit F2 #18 (sour NYCD pheno) according to relicseeds.com. The Grapefruit F2s are seeds Prof P got from Sow Low Farms. One of the phenos was a sweeter grapefruit and another (#18) was a sour D-esque dude.

I'll admit I'm not entirely clear on the grapefruit IBL, but people in the Dynasty thread said he gave some out in Dec 2019 as freebies on an IG live. From what I've pieced together, the IBL is Grapefruit that either Prof P or Sow Low Farms already worked to IBL as a stinky grapefruit skunky sort of beast. The F2s were from a separate project and may even be from a different batch of seeds.

Ooohh it finally clicked, that the grapefruit (nycd pheno) isn’t lineage from the sour D but a pheno that resembles the strain. ‍:o

Grapefruit Slushee getting trimmed up, chopped at 81 days. Very loud fruity spicy grapefruit aroma, almost salty if you can smell salty? Mouth watering and bright and zippy on the first sample. Should be really tasty after a month cure or so. Two beans left from a JBC freebie pack, a spicy male for some pollen chucking experiments perhaps.

I’m currently growing Grapefruit Cough (The Cough x Grapefruit F2) from Relic- got it as a freebie (can’t remember where from), and I’ve recently spoken to Sow Low about the Grapefruit F2.

This is what he said:
“It was early release from bc
C99 x sweet tooth
Breeder Steve's grapefruit
I'm currently working on f5s”

That‘s cut and pasted from my dm’s, so straight from the horse’s mouth! Seems like Relic and Sow Low have their wires crossed.

I had Cherry Meds (cherry ak47) going and everything was great, unfortunately due to possible major problems, I had to destroy my entire grow.

Been thinking about running it outdoors in a secure location, but theres A LOT of wildlife threats and ive never done anything outdoors so im hesitant.
