840w LED lights 15 amp or 20 amp breaker?

I am running four 840w grow lights , will need to install new breakers. Should I put each on a separate breaker? Should I use 15a or 20a?

Youd need a 30, or 2 20’s is my guess without knowing the amp draw on your lights. I run 650w lights and they are 6,3A each

I have a 30 amp dual breaker that isn't being used anywhere. I just wasn't sure if I can put the lights on a 30 amp.

Also know once a breaker trips once from a true overload it never operates at full capacity again. Its only good for about 80% of its rating. It's simply how a breaker works and is designed internally

Assuming that your voltage is steady at 120v AC input, you'll be drawing 7 amps per fixture. Personally I'd put 20 amp breakers and run two lamps per circuit.

Once again wattage means nothing. The 30 dual should be fine to run the 4 from. You need to kniw the amp draw from your lights for proper calculation.

He's right it will be fine. But if you are stupid and put 30 amps or more thru those wall wires your asking for trouble if they aren't guaged low enough

Found out putting breakers in marine boats. Once they trip their are like clips inside that bend. Reseting the breaker pushes them back but dosent fix the curve for real so they trip easier
So you can't cite a source for your theory? It's just a theory based on some boat work you did? OK. I don't buy it, sorry.

Well that's assuming he is going to wire. I'm trying to stress that he does and be safe. Not use existing wall wires and put that many amps guessing
