At least the hard work of afternoon tea and crumpets, playing polo, and cutting ribbons pays well.

Prince William has inherited a property estate worth more than $1 billion, per The Guardian. He automatically inherited the Duchy of Cornwall estate after his father became King Charles. Charles himself inherited the estate at the age of 21 and it generated revenues of $24m last year.

Why they live as good as American billionaires, but not nearly as ostentatiously as Saudi Princes! One of the things they say that made Britain rich was property rights and the states inability to confiscate property, of course importing the new Dutch banking system with William of Orange helped a lot too! It is the legacy of being a 19th century super power and of uninterrupted evolving government and tradition. Charles wants to turn Buckingham palace into a public museum, to display the vast art collection.

I don't judge them too harshly, they were born into it and didn't screw people for it or fight for it. It's up to the people of the UK really, for Canada it's just a place holder for a president who would just replace the GG.

No wonder Harry was tired of the spare and moved on to his own families' life. One thinks lesser now that William has all his own heirs. Harry got bumped to Prince Andrew status. Meghan didn't attend Phillipes funeral and the Queen was all the happier for it according to rumour mill.

Harry I The Spare No More.

Scotland too, until they pull the pin, however with Boris gone and the war in Ukraine, along with fresh realities are causing some to reconsider Brexit. The UK is an evolving liberal democracy, evolving much faster than many other places, Brexit could lead to a breakup though, Brexit was a very dumb idea.

Nah mate, everyone in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland could vote to get rid of the Monarchy, but it would make no difference if England voted to keep them. Ultimately the choice rests with England. Same with any choice we get in this awesome "Union" of ours.

I’m sure Chuck is a great guy to hang out with, drinking mimosas after polo.

The right wing are whining that Biden should invite Stinky to go to the funeral. If you aren't formally invited by the royal family to take part in the funeral services you shouldn't try to sneak in.
He will crash the funeral and go to his golf course in Scotland, then off to Dubai to auction off top secret government documents to the highest bidder and live in luxury...
