The squirrels are really fat here now and I'm not sure how because acorns didn't drop this year..saw them ripening in the trees- when they drop they're everywhere and get walked on..do you know what a squirrel really likes to eat?
squirrels like to eat my fucking birdfood...
they'll eat corn, and peanuts, and they really like oily black sunflower seeds, they'll steal suet blocks out of the holder, and the fucking little bastards hang upside down over the edge of a garbage cab lid to get to the birdfood, after they've eaten everything else...

our problem here is ground squirrels/chipmunks. they eat car air filters, spark plug wires, hood liners, etc. they are on the terminate at will list here.

I never here a Progressive or other normal people even talk about “Antifa”.
Antifa is not a nationally organized group with revenue streams (i.e. the old Italian mafia) like wing nuts on the right would have you believe.

It's a convenient scapegoat for the right though. And we all know how accurate the MAGA right is on current events. Like January 6th was just 'a bunch of patriots protesting a stolen election'. Give me a break.

I know that they like suet. like the kind used in bird feeders. Caught one recently in a trap.

Had some marauding raccoons killing chickens and unfortunately Mr. Gray Squirrel got caught in the trap baited with suet. It was a hav-a-hart type so he got released, but the two raccoons it got received the max penalty.

I feed the park squirrels as does so many others..front of the park is like a buffet table..a few large stumps? They even come right up to you even though I have a dog and they don't like dogs from what I can tell with their chatter.

Ace Hardware probably has that feed oily sunflower seeds..dogs at the groomers and I'm putting up the tree now.

I've had multiple feeders for more than 25yrs.,the woodland birds really count on me and I find squirrels to be a 100% pain in the ass. They will eat all the suet that I wedge into a coffee can to discourage flocks of starlings setting up shop and mount the can on a tree as I have 3 kinds of woodpeckers visit my yard. Squirrels have also destroyed feeders and dug up bulbs, I'm not big on rodents.I have counted up to almost 20 cardinals at my feeders, along with chickadees and titmice whose energetic behavior is precious. All in all I find it soothing to have so many feathered friends find my yard to be a place they can count on year round for their survival, especially when snow cover limits their ability to forage.

At least you guys will have a good source of food for when the russians knock out 1000 US power substations (the amount in which that documentary says would cause total anarchy) with Iranian drones disguised as pigeons, and malware to make the rest go haywire.

I've heard stories about squirrel stew... Doesn't sound that bad..

Better stock up on more bird feed!

I always catch them hanging from my suet cages. I think the birds like it because they makes such a mess and so much falls onto the ground it's easy pickings for the birds.

What pisses me off is when I'm waiting for the strawberries to ripen and the damn squirrels beat me to them.

I know those things are so cool looking. Never saw one until I moved here. Someone took one that was killed and put him in a little chair next to the road so he looked like he was just chillin. It was priceless,.

And if there's a terrorist around here it's not squirrels, it's the black bears. Those fuckers know how to open car doors and shit. There's really no need to lock our cars in our driveway if it wasn't for the bears. Oh and they like bird feeders too, :bigjoint:
