C02 boosters Cheap Candling methods

I used to use fermentation to add some CO2 long before I got the CO2 controller using a 6USG glass carboy with just white sugar and distillers yeast. I kept it in the corner of the grow room with a double layer of garbage bags covering everything but the air lock at the top. If you just add a little yeast food once in a while it takes about 6 weeks before it stops bubbling. Then I'd distill it a few times to make my own everclear to make oils with if I didn't drink it all first. :)

A friend liked to make his own beer and wine so built an insulated box outside the grow room, (a large walk-in closet), and ran tubing from the DIY air locks and piped the gas into the room. Always had really nice plants too.

:peace:
. Thanks for the input pal! I think your right but at this stage im getting a bit swamped with other things i cant even keep up with my C02 supplementation. So i decided to invert my exhaust fan and pull in fresh air from the outside and hopefully whatever C02 comes with it. I have a small carbon filter keeping dirt out of the ducting and bugs from coming in and then im exhausting into my kitchen lol i have a big carbone filter attached to the end of the 2nd inline fan exhausting into my kitchen without it theres a deliciouso stank, with the filter theres no smell so i know its workin properly. And my C02 meter did go up about 100+ppm not much, but im thinking my exhaust setting is too high so not enough C02 is able to build up. Give me 2days and ill get back to yall with an update . But this method of using outside fresh air seems to already be cheaper and doing something for the 4×6 tent

Get a CPAP mask and a hose long enough to reach your grow area. Schedule the lights to run while you're sleeping.

CO2 is produced when people breathe. Each exhaled breath by an average adult contains 35,000 to 50,000 parts per million (ppm) of CO2 – 100 times higher than is typically found in the outside air (OSA).

You want the Full Face model. Connect hose and run to grow room/tent.

Just beware, if you decide to do something like this….. you’re creating a perfect environment for nasty shit to grow in the tubing. Your breath is warm and humid, and full of bacteria. All that long tubing, festering during the day, pockets of anaerobic nastiness, and then breathing through that tubing all night. Sounds like a prime way to get pneumonia or some weird shit like Legionnaires disease. Like cpap supplies, you’ll need to periodically disinfect this tubing apparatus, either with steam, chemicals, or boiling it. Look into the bags they sell for cpap tubing, that you can microwave-steam.

Oh my. It was a joke.

But now that I think about it, you could use a Y connector and a couple of one way air valves. When you breath in you get fresh air from one side and when you exhale it goes into the hose running to the grow area.

You do make a really good point bro...smh but i need C02 for flowering and im home for 5hrs of their daylight. I do have a propane tank i never use sitting outside. So if i buy a heater for the top of it . Do you think it'll work ??
You do not need supplemental co2 to flower or grow anything unless your room is completely sealed and you’re using more light than they can handle without. You’re wasting your time and money. See how you do without it, get everything dialed in and then maybe it’s worth considering. For a new grower with a probably less than optimal environment it’s completely useless

I have a 4×6 tent , 1000 watt MH bulb running at 75% , 10 part GH flora series nutes, temperature 70°-82°, humidity 45%-50% , my plants are 2 1/2 months old still taking the same amount of nutrients as they were when they were 1month. Ive optimized everything but the C02 ... i might just but an exhale bag.... and call it a day... foookin $75

Those bags do absolutely nothing but steal $75 at a time lol.

the cheapest way actually increase co2 is probably a propane burner in your breath room
