STAY AWAY FROM THEM !!! lowest germination rate ever i have used almost every other European Seedbank and germination in glass of water until it drowns then paper towel and it was never under 95% now i ordered from Blimburn because they had action 1+1 and looked like nice strains which no one other has this is what i got:
Blackberry Moonrocks 0/2
Gush Mints 1/2 but there was no second leaves just cotyledons i threw it away after week of no progress
Moby Dick 0/2
Gorilla G4 3/3 but one has same problem with only cotyledons WTF
at same time RQS Green Gelato 3/3 and i am using Plagron Lightmix which is good quality soil also for seedlings
Their seeds are just pure robbery Fairseeds are selling same strains i think also from same wholesalers in USA and they are like 30% of Blimburn price
NEVER MORE !! Every other seedbank is better

started some indoor seeds for indoor/winter about 6 weeks ago.
all blimburn, all popped, all growing vigorously.
- grandaddy purple
- grandaddy purple + dosidos
- blackberry moonrocks

fixing to toss them into flower tomorrow (15th).

bummer you had issues with your blimburn seeds. i am not having the same negative experience (and no, not discounting yours... i had issues with RQS seeds... og kush and sour diesel 5 packs. only 1 seed from each 5 pack popped. these things happen evidently.)

Running a Blimburn chemdog #4 now. Looks decent but I don't know what a chemdog #4 is supposed to look like. Was ran 12/12 from seed and is at day 69 from germ now.
IMG_20221218_170421.jpgIMG_20221218_170441.jpg
Only popped one and gave one to a mate and it's going along fine. will probably keep the other 3 for my next, next run.

I can basically tell is a pheno is indica or sativa dominant, otherwise names and breeders don't mean much to me as I'm a far bigger threat to my plants development than anything else.

that's kind of a bummer/anti-climatic story. :D

you didn't sample it yourself?
no didnt try it myself personally. was running a large room with alot of different strains. Hercules(i think its called) extrema(disc due to hermie prone) jackberryxmad scientist(very good and dense) Big Buddah Tahoe, Girl scouts from cali connect, herijuana, purple afghan kush(dinafem), super lemon haze (GH Seeds), ak48(fem seeds), chocolate cheese, LA confidential (DNA), Holy Grail(DNA) and just dropped the freebie in it and let it grow on its own. It really did its thing.

Hey dude,
I have just purchased from BlimBurn after doing some research and the reviews looked solid as banks go.
Very interested to see how you get on as I have the blackberry moonrocks, Oreoz, RS11 and Reeze Mcflurry. The ordering process was very quick even on a Sunday so cannot be faulted so far.

I guess it all comes down to proof of the pudding. Hope you all the best for your grow mate.

one of the weird things about freebies... sometimes they turn out pretty damn good.

strangely enough, a freebie from seedsman ended up being the star of this falls outdoor harvest. "Gelat.OG" was the name. cross between Gelato and OG Kush. tasted like vanilla and subtle fruits and had an unexpectedly fantastic buzz. front of head was free and clear to think and be productive, back of the head was stoned and drooling on itself in the corner and the body aches and pains were gone.
sadly used a really small pot to grow it so the yield was minimal. i treat it like gold and sock it away for special occasions.
aces. will grow it again.

dinafem - was checking out some of their offerings. having grown some, what was your opinion on those?
GH - i am assuming greenhouse seeds? was looking at some of theirs as well. your opinions? worth it?

thank you! and luck to your next grow as well.

yeah. i was super pleased with their ordering process. very quick. and delivered quick as well. haven't had any customer service issues, so can't speak to that end (prefer not to actually. so far so good *knocks on wood*).

as far as how my blimburn seeds have grown, i just went and snapped some photos of the indoor grows. (please understand this is my first inside grow. i don't have tents and fancy sh*t. just went with what was available... the wife doesn't give up her closet space easily... :D ) overall, i am very pleased with how well they are growing and or bounced back from a stressful move to new space with new light. they have been tested with MANY of my indoor n00b f*ckups and all come out still ready to rock. genetics look stable from my end and i am pleased i have more blimburn seeds to run. *thumbs up*

Grow space 1
- Blimburn GDP (grandaddy purple) started one seed out of 3. it cracked and had a tail within 24hrs (paper towel method). it has been a vigorous grower since transplanting to soil (i do all organic/OMRI certified soils, amendments and fertilizers) responded just fine to training methods (topping, supercropping, LST) and is now in it's 4th week of flower.
i ended up taking three clones from this one seeing how well it was growing. two survived, and are growing vigorously in small pots.

Grow space 2
- Blimburn GDPDSD (GranDaddy Purple + Do Si Dos) started one seed out of 3. it cracked and had tail within 36hrs. a little bit slower growth than the others. had a vigorous veg stage, under original lights, had to move the plants to different space and under different (more intense) light. this one suffered pretty bad shock from the light change and took the longest to recover out of the 3 that had to move to grow space 2. it is in week 4 of flower. it has wispy buds that are taking their sweet time to thicken up. but my lord the trich production absolutely blows the others away. even the fan leaves have some trichs on them. really curious to see how this finishes up. the whispy buds make me skeptical, but then i look at the trich production this early in flower and say... this could be really strong...

- Blimburn BBMR (BlackBerry MoonRocks) started one seed out of 3. cracked and had tail within 24hrs. vigorous veg state until the space/light change. this one suffered pretty bad as well being centered under the new light. but it recovered much faster/better than GDPDSD. once it righted itself from the light change shock, it got back into veg with purpose. it is a small in stature plant. expecting some chunky buds from this one.

- Seedsman PG (Peyote Gorilla (GG4 + Peyote Purple (bubba kush purple phenotype)) this strain is a beast so far. it took some damage with the light change but sloughed it off like it was a mere annoyance. it bounced back quick and loved the new light. veg required topping, supercropping and lots of lst before it all even reached the scrog screen. it's truly a beast. very impressive growth and (so far) flower production... even in this small ass pot! can't wait to sample this. i have high expectations based on how this plant has grown.
i ended up taking 3 clones from this plant seeing how well it was growing. sadly only 1 of 3 survived (puppy knocked them over) but the one survivor is growing insanely quick. have had to top it already. this strain is legit imo for the seedsman haters.

This grow was many years ago keep in mind
GH- Super Lemon Haze was tremendous, just had a convo here with a guy I assume ran it more recent feels its not the same thinks he lost the ssh clone they hunted. Take it for what its worth. if it concerns you Bodhi Jack x Hashplant is good big yield sativa high the yield comes from the cola its very large, some larger than others bag appeal is better than his ssh crosses. and Super Lemon Smac is good alternative too.

Dinafem- I have done all of the criticals and industry plant biggest yields, kush were ok. I liked purple afghan kush at the time but I did it for color. Marshmellow OG or Gush mints would be good alternative.
I got a freebie from dinafem call critical kush that was very greasy and funky garlic onion smellig. Bad yield, bad bag appeal, very good. GMO would be good alternative

im sure there something nice to be found in anyone you buy seeds from but imo i would say there more junk/white label. i have not grown anything by them but just by looking at there strain names and lineages of the strains and copy cat names, it would be a no go for me. hope for the best tho :)
re-reading through the thread and a bit more experience/knowledge under my belt your statement:
"im sure there something nice to be found in anyone you buy seeds from...but..."
is quite true. expectations and realities don't always coincide. i have been let down and surprised by every vendor and strain i have purchased and run so far.

of the letdowns, i don't think any of them have brought me to the point of hateposting about them... but they will be that cold day in hell vendor on my list. consistent let downs will get you there. so far, only royal queen seeds has made that list.
of the surprises, they have been certainly welcomed, and hopefully repeated with the remaining seeds in the packs.
as far as blimburn goes, none of the ones i'm running now are finished (4th week flower). i am pleased with what i purchased. they are performing at or beyond expectations. excited for the taste test.

very cool. appreciate your insights and alternatives.

quick backround so you understand my purpose in growing.
- growing medical for an elderly relative with alzheimers/dementia. after a lot of research based on studies conducted by alz specialists in US, Canada, Mexico and Europe i have come up with a list of 15 (main) strains used in studies that showed positive effects for alz/dem syptoms. there are an additional 10-15 strains that were used in studies but results were not shared universally by all major studies groups so considered "honorable mention" categorized, but still on my acquire and try list.

the list of 15
OG Kush
Sour Diesel (don't have)
Purple Kush
Grandaddy Purple
Bubba Kush
Green Crack
Acapulco Gold
Strawberry Lemonade
White Russian (don't have)
Lavender (don't have)
Blackberry Kush
LSD (don't have)
The OX (don't have)
Blissful Wizard (don't have)
Godfather OG

have grown a handful of the 15 and some on the honorable mention list (availability of specific seed strains dictate) . all must be turned to extract for edibles. of the strains i have grown so far, only one of them has shown to work good for the patients daytime use. we have one strain (royal queen seeds - purple queen (purple kush knock off)) that works for the nighttime, but it has a bunch of undesirable side effects (headache, hot flashes, confused pacing) that keep us on the search for something better.
trying to find a primary and some alternates if patient grows a tolerance. want to be able to switch up and keep things working and fresh. so far only acapulco gold is the clear winner for daytime use. mood boost, appetite and energy for daytime activities. with no bad side effects. win/win/win/win.

focus for the coming grows are to find patients primary nighttime strain. relaxed, happy. hungry, sleepy.
secondary focus is to find the alternate daytime strains.
looking to run:
og kush (seedsman), bubba kush (seedsman), blackberry kush (blimburn), gdp (blimburn), godfather og (blimburn), purple kush 1 (kannabia), purple kush 2 (blimburn), critical purple kush (seedsman), cali bay dream (garden of green)
these all have the THC and terpene profiles we are looking for. hoping the breeders and seeds i have are up to the task.

was looking at the dynafem and humbolt bubba kush and og kush offerings, but the prices and/or availability make them prohibitive when we are on a purposeful strain hunt. buying expensive seeds that ultimately may not work after months of work... i'd rather the jv team get in there first and see if they're going to do the job, THEN send for the A team when we know.

anyways, appreciate your responses and tips. thanks man.

excellent. thanks for the recommendation.
reading about it now.

do you know what was causing her headaches? are you testing the buds? organic?
yes since you getting dinafem seeds already and need og terpene. They wont look very good mine didnt yield very much but I ran almost all dinafem 1 run and it had the highest terps I have ever had from them, to be honest from alot of breeders. I only ran 1 freebie
these were all normal yielding. sry, pic quality isn't that good. looking for my pic of the high yielder....that was the only one that didn't stretch and gew in afghani looking cone shape. these were grown with blurple...a few years back.
you can speak with splinter in depth as hes had many pheno. I honestly think this one surprised us both.

i've ran a bunch of these. had 6 females i took all the way, 1 i had to harvest early (ex wife/cops/bs) and one i gave to my bro when i had to take sabbatical from growing. like toomp said, terps were off the hook. greasy, chunky on about half of them. II want to see how it yields with the new 301b diodes. still have two seeds, but I don't have the space to deal with males anymore.

stongest smell was lemon. most of them, even two or more years later, smelled like lemon. some more skunky that others. some had a sandalwood smell. the highs were strongest on the lemon/fuel/skunky ones...like high for more than 24 hours straight. there is very green, little red hairs pheno, that had a fantastic smell. skunky, but also a lot of other stuff going on. there was a citrus one which was the only fluffy and sativa dom one i got. everything else was 50/50 to indica leaning.
more pics all grown with crappy viparspectra 450 blurples adn some ABI lights. the last two were my favorite pheno.
