should i use a 400w hps or 250w for one plant? will i be able to get some good buds out of that small space?

400 watt is the best,but you could use a 250 watt.Of course,the 400 watt will increase the temp. more than the 250.

Don't waste the money on the 400w unless you plan on growing more than one plant at a time eventually.

For that small go with a 250 bro....trust me with a 400 you will be spending more money than you get in buds. It will raise your heat and your bill rather than a 250. look at my grow journal i use one 400 watt for a 3 x 3 tray and it works well but than again the room is big so duno.....but the heat will be alot more than a 250

I think that was the move I should have made with a 250w HPS instead of buying the 400w HPS. I was gonna veg with that bitch til I realized how hit it was. Damn near baked the many seedlings I had in there and it was bout 2 feet above. I'm vegging with CFL's now until I can grab a faster fan to suck the hot air out the cool tube cause them little as muffin fans aint gon do the trick. lol

well i plan on growing more than one once i know for sure i can do it so ill probably just use a 250w hps. i got 5ft of space from floor to ceiling in this closet. the 250w hps setup is about 7.5" high and ill be using a 3 gallon pot which is about 9" high and ill start flowering when plants are about 18" or so which will leave me with 25.5" of space left for plant to grow. i figure its not a big space so ill have an oscilating fan in there for ventilation during vegetative growth... but what would be the best thing to use to get rid of odors once i start to flower in this small space?

Hook up your exhaust to a carbon filter. You can get them from general hydro and other places like that........Theirs also odor neutralizers but I can think of any of the names right now....One of the neutralizers looks like a bunch of little gel balls and it smells kinda lemony
