If that were true, then Trump and the republicans would have no support among older voters at all. Perhaps their prejudices overtake their ability to learn new things, they become blind to their own bullshit and unable to adapt and change. They want the world to conform to them and don't want to adapt to a changing world. It's the difference between top-down pseudo learning and bottom-up actual learning, the kind kids do. It is not about preserving the world of 50-, 60- and 70-year-olds, but the future that young people will live in. It's just another form of greed, this one involves old farts greedily stealing the future from kids.

Rep. Gerry Connolly (D) and police said his staffers were taken to a hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
A person wielding a metal baseball bat attacked two staffers inside the Virginia office of Rep. Gerry Connolly (D-Va.) on Monday morning after asking for him by name, the member of Congress said.
Both victims were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries while the suspect was taken into police custody, Sgt. Lisa Gardner, a public information officer with the Fairfax City Police Department, told HuffPost.
The suspect was identified by United States Capitol Police as 49-year-old Xuan Kha Tran Pham of Fairfax, Virginia. He was not previously known by Capitol Police or police in the city of Fairfax, both departments said.

Could being a republican be a sign of mental illness? Why are all the domestic terrorists and nut cases republican? Why are they so vulnerable to disinformation and believing in fantasies unsupported by evidence? Why were they so easily seduced by a psychopathic grifter and moron with the personality of a rattle snake? The capitol rioters looked and behaved like escaped metal hospital patients and were as delusional as anybody suffering from insanity would be. Pathological behavior means causing themselves and others harm based on delusions, and they seem to fit that description perfectly. This one puked when bitch slapped by reality, she should take heart, the right and republican politicians will probably crowd fund this domestic terrorist. So, if Meatball Ron can take yer kid over this and the courts approve, then a future government can take the kids of nazis, fascist and racists. Bigotry turns people into suckers and idiots, so the state needs to intervene to protect the kids. The same would apply to religious lunatics too I would imagine. If they can pass and make these kinds of laws stick, it opens many possibilities for future social reform that they won't like at all!
In ten years the voting public could be quite a bit more liberal, because 10 years' worth of old farts on the back end, will be replaced by another generation on the front end. It will be interesting to see how much power the state has and how much they can force people to do shit, because the folks on the right are doing lots of shit that can be made illegal, including teaching hate to their kids, even by example. They had better be careful of what they wish for and what the "conservative" courts allow, because it can come back to bite them on the ass really hard one day. I can see it now, get busted for one of those new hate crimes and the next thing that happens is a hearing to remove their guns then put them on the domestic terrorist watch list. Next a hearing to take their kids so the cycle of stupidity can be broken. Welcome to the future they created in order to get those they hate and loath, the trouble is, hate and loathing works both ways and using the power of the state to attack others can have unexpected consequences.

cut to what, 15% on your average billionaire? Evolving into where instead of tax cuts at say 15% would be
