It's a really unique situation ,I don't remember the politics of how it came to be that the Russians have a isolated salient surrounded by Nato,I do know they have armed it to the teeth and seem to relish it's provocative locale,it's been that way since the beg. of the Cold war I think,I'm kind of lost as to how this situation arised as I said.

Stalin took it at the end of the second world war, he took parts of Finland and Japan too and moved the Polish border to the west after he cut a deal with Hitler but was later stabbed in the back by him. Russia has parts of China too and we all know how they feel about their ancient empire! They have not forgotten and will either wait for Russia to collapse, or own them economically and get the territory back, or promote an independent country in the region and later invade it or just own it using soft economic power.
Russia will break up one day and if Belarus goes democratic, it will isolate Kaliningrad even more and make Poland and Lithuania even more bold. They will probably end up having a referendum and the further Russia falls economically, the more attractive joining the west becomes. The Russians won't risk nuclear suicide to keep it and can't keep it by conventional arms. This war will end with a Russian military collapse, followed by a political and economic one. Once they are kicked out of Ukraine, Belarus will be the next domino to fall, if they want Crimea back, a good way to get it would be to finish off whatever army the Russians have left with a civil war and coup in Belarus supported by Ukraine, not being a member of NATO has certain advantages.
When we have Vlad on the ropes, he is not gonna get off them alive or with all his body parts, he fucked around and is finding out, Xi is watching and it's making him think twice about Taiwan. When dealing with these kinds of assholes, peace through strength is the best policy, put the fear of Jesus into the heathen! Besides, the Chinese will want to take advantage of Russia's weakness to expand into central and northern Asia using soft economic power, it is the path of least resistance.

I just watched an interview with the head of the Ichkerian government abroad, Akhmed Zakayev.
He talked competently about how the whole world has been going towards civilisation, while russia was going in the opposite direction, and that it is now necessary to get rid of russia (as it is now) once and for all. Very interesting, I recommend everyone to watch it

He stresses that the goal of the Ukrainians is to win this war, not to allow russia to exist in its current form.
Zakayev also argues that killing putin will solve nothing. A new leader will take his place and history will repeat itself. He is absolutely correct to perceive that a tribunal and conviction of all war criminals is needed. Only such justice will prevent the beginning of a new ruscism.
He compares the situation with the historical guilt of the Germans, arguing that they have become a normal and civilised nation because they have recognised and accepted their mistakes. Similarly, in the author's opinion, the russians should undergo a long period of denazification in order to realise that their actions were crimes and to become a normal nation.

Russia’s Interior Ministry has issued an arrest warrant for Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) after he praised U.S. military aid to Ukraine as “the best money we’ve ever spent.”
Russian officials reacted to a video of Graham’s meeting Friday with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in which Graham acknowledged “Russians are dying” and later said, “it’s the best money we ever spent.”
Graham appeared to make the comments in different parts of the conversation, which was edited and posted on Zelensky’s social media account.
The South Carolina senator Monday said it “brings me immense joy” to know that his support for Ukraine “has drawn the ire of [Russia President Vladimir] Putin’s regime.”
“I will wear the arrest warrant issued by Putin’s corrupt and immoral government as a Badge of Honor,” he tweeted.
Graham also offered a deal to his “Russian ‘friends’ who want to arrest and try me for calling out the Putin regime.”
“I will submit to jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court if you do. Come and make your best case. See you in The Hague!” he pledged.
Russia’s Investigative Committee has also opened a criminal case against Graham, asserting that the Republican senator “declared the financial involvement of the United States is causing the death of Russian citizens.”
Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov criticized the comments as a “shame.”
“It’s difficult to imagine a greater shame for a country than having such senators,” he said.
Dmitry Medvedev, the deputy chairman of Russia’s Security Council, said Graham “shouldn’t have done that” and called the 67-year-old lawmaker an “old fool.”
Graham later dismissed the criticisms by Russian officials as “propaganda.”

The US has already pivoted away from Ukraine, that war is as good as won and if required Europe can handle the Russians now that their myth has been exploded and their military exposed as inept and weak. It is America's allies in the region that Xi has to worry about the most, and they will include Vietnam, South Korea, Japan, The Philippines and a host of other Pacific tiger economies who are all benefiting from manufacturing moving out of China and to them. Then there is India which is not a poor country anymore and they have problems with China too.
The fact of the matter is most of the world's advanced chips are made in Tiawan and it is years before we or others can build the fabs and train the technical staff to run them. Every industrialized country on the planet is dependent on Taiwan and has a vital national security interest in its security and to attack it will mean instant war with more countries than America, it would be like Ukraine on steroids, Uncle Sam would be far from alone in going to war with China over Tiawan.

Lukashenko: ‘Nuclear weapons for everyone’ willing to join Russia and Belarus
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has said he’ll give nuclear weapons to states willing to join with Russia and Belarus, according to reports.
“It’s very simple. You have to join the union between Belarus and Russia, and that’s it: There will be nuclear weapons for everyone,” Lukashenko said on Russian state TV, as reported by NBC News.
“I think it’s possible,” Lukashenko said, per NBC, noting that he was expressing his personal view. “We need to strategically understand that we have a unique chance to unite.”
The comments come after the Belarusian leader and Russian President Vladimir Putin last week went ahead with a deal to deploy Moscow’s tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus as Russia continues its invasion of Ukraine.
The move of the weapons, which Putin announced earlier this year, has been interpreted by some as a warning to NATO. The Russian president has repeatedly threatened nuclear weapon use amid its ongoing war.
