Auto flower

I bought some seeds from a supplier out of Cali and one of them called purple haze is a auto flower and I've never seen anything like this. This girl isn't even 3 weeks old and is under 18 hours of 1000w hps bulb and it's starting to flower all on its own , getting the white hairs and little buds are forming , it's not even 2 feet tall , is this normal for a auto flower.

Pretty common, even more so from newbie breeders.

This plant is less than 3 weeks old, I've got two other plants one that I started at the same time as this and is half as big and not budding. And another that is only about a week old .

Less that 21 days old? That’s the most rapid plant I’ve ever seen if so!! Got any more pics when she was younger?

Hey @Tolerance Break I'm curious why would that be possible? I'm a little bored at work, school me on this if you will.
These are going to be some broadstroke comments, not a dissertation...

Haze comes from the hazebrothers in socal in the 60s and 70s, who worked the original line before Nevile got ahold of the seed and worked it further in the Netherlands.

It's a linw of potent sativa hybrids known for its energetic effects with no ceiling. It's also a traditionally long flowering plant, which is why it was further crossed with Northern lights and skunk to make such strains as super silver haze, the piff, the cough, etc...

Furthermore, autos aren't a blank slate. You can't just cross a plant with an auto and get a true representation with auto flower time. No two autos breed the same, and alot of people are getting scammed into buying flavor of the month cannabis with the promise of shorter flowering times.

First time hearing about the Haze brothers. Thanks for the explanation.

Well here she is about a month old and growing pretty fast, I've never seen a plant start flowering like this. I put my 1000w hps down to 12 hours on 12 off and I figure about another 6 weeks and it should be done . And I was wrong about the name of this plant . It's called ( purple juice auto) from herbies seeds com.

No I didn't take any ,I wasn't expecting anything like this , I'm not sure if I like it or not , guess I'll decide that when I see what it produces in another 6 or 7 weeks. Although I'm being told it probably won't take long for it to go through its buying cycle eithe

I could be wrong, But from what I've read. You run Auto's at 18/6 for the life of the plant and don't switch to 12/12. It could stress them.

OK I didn't know that . And that actually helps cuz I have to other plants that aren't auto flower. Now I'm not sure if I should go back to the 18/6 or not
