Maixibloom Discontinued?

I was in the shop today and the guy informed me that Maxibloom has been discontinued and that once his current stock was gone, there would be no more coming in.

Is anyone out there able to confirm whether it's true that Maxibloom has been discontinued?

(When asked why, he said that GH was not getting enough demand for the product).

Hmmm....I wonder if he was BS-ing me for some reason.
Same here in Canada. My local grow shop said it’s gone in as much as they can no longer reorder it from Hawthorne. I’ll have to resort to paying an online premium plus shipping up here if that’s the case. Too bad if so :(

That's what I wondered, if the distributor stopped carrying it. So frustrating, sorry.

There might still be some Canadian online shops clearing out their stock.

* I did a quick search and found a couple that still have the medium-sized buckets of it (with free shipping over a certain$$$ amount) After that, you'll probably be forced to pay for an expensive import from the US. Personally, I would take it as a sign to start searching for something else that is more predictable to obtain. It makes no sense that they would stop carrying it considering how easy it is to store and how long it will last in a sealed container, but you never know: It could be for some stupid regulatory reason regarding labeling or some other such stuff. Some guy on reddit wrote that they are no longer offering it in Europe either.

A person could always try mixing their own version of it. I found the various ingredients fairly easily in my city and I could, if not for laziness, start making my own batches of something very similar to Maxi.

Let me guess … since “ hydro guy “ said this is unavailable…. He had a “ better product to sell you “

Maybe they no longer stock it. Maxi has been around for over 40 years..... A lot of grow shops don't focus on selling maxi because it's very cheap online and you can buy it at Ace Hardware etc. They don't make big money off that competition. That's why they wanna sell you snake oil bottles and "nutrient lines" with 20 bottles.

I get 50 pound 5 gallon buckets for $220 to my door shipped. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

With tax isnt it like 233$? Was shipping free? Whered you get that at? I just get local store theyre cool and get a few other things there anyway.

Just curious I may try it out if its the only thing I need at that time.

I used to use it but it was pulled from the shelf in Canada years back(maybe 2019ish). I heard it was over something about their packaging/labeling not being accurate or complete, per Canadian law. It wasn't around for a while and by the time it came back I had switched to Jack's (which I found to be cheaper and more flexible).

It wouldn't surprise me if lots of others did something similar and their sales never recovered.

I just moved to Jack's and so far I'm very pleased. I sent my water to them for testing and plan to continue to use their lab services as needed.

Yeah with shipping/tax I pay around 250 from GrowGreenMI. What's $50 anyways anymore?

Oh yea I got 234$ last time I guess I got lucky its about 250$ now. I dont mind supporting local though and picking one out personally and carefully bringing home.

So I saved $150 last time. Ought to look for that price when running low I could of sworn I got it for that. I run through like 45 gal every few days so being one part is convenient being lazy.

Goes fast though, Idk what jacks would run for the equivelant. I hate to support GH but damn that one parts awesome.

It seems like it is still available no problem in the US , but the Canadian and some Euro wholesalers are no longer carrying it. Either way, it's not available in any of the grow shops in my area anymore; at least the half dozen or so that I have checked. Jack's is everywhere though, as is Athena, Front Row, and a few other well-known brands. So not a huge loss. It's just the one-part aspect of it that I will miss (Mega Crop one part is just a little too dirty for me).
