I have done a ton of DIY crazy builds but... wow lol never seen anything like that.
It wasnt too difficult. And its one of the cheapest things ive ever built.
Desk - $7
Vacuum gauge - $13
Thermostat/temp controller - $9
Electrical outlet & junction box $11
Saucepan (vacuum chamber) - $6
The heating element for the vac chamber was salvaged from a scented wax melter, the vac pump was salvaged from a discarded dehumidifier, all the plumbing amd wires i was able to salvage from my job, and the coffee grinder, and heating pad i had.
Definetly one of the coolest "Frankenstein" builds ive done. I had my grow in the attic behind a bookcase that opened by pulling the right book (i loved scooby doo when i was a kid) but i disassembled it before i moved and forgot to get pics. Simple gate latch, braided cable, and some hinges. Ya know, I think i might start a thread on this. 'Show off your stealth' contradictory, but what can you do in that sense?

You should for sure post a thread about that! I have never seen or heard of anything like that being made DIY! very cool idea!

So this is my latest batch.

Sub zero extraction with isopropyl. I dont call it QWISO because I dont do quick washes. 56g organic MAC 1 soaked 24 hrs in 2400ml isopropyl at -23C. One wash. Recovered yield was 9.8g.

Inside rotovap purging. Then off to the vacuum oven to finish.

Finished concentrate. No longer oil. Same consistency as shatter.

Finally looked up caviar still dont know. 8 parts bubble and the rest just bho? Weird, I never saw that around me and still dont get the point of it but thats interesting. Im a hash head thought Ive heard it all. Just learned about the oldest hash in history just rub buds and scrape resin off hands.

A technique I don't often see but have made great use of is freezing fresh budb with dry ice and tumbling it in a kief machine or even just tossing it around in a bubble bag, it's certainly unique, maybe someone will try it sometime. It brings all the benefits of fresh frozen to a dry extraction process so you retain even more terps than washing

I've considered trying it, I have a pollen tumbler. I use dry ice with dry bud and it works great, I don't see why fresh wouldn't work. Think i will try it with my next harvest. Thanks this is the first real input i have seen on this

Do it! I had it done with fresh popcorn nugs. Sadly they didn't separate grades of extraction - but still tested 22% decarbed. So I stuffed the kief into 00 caps for a 66mg sugar free edible. Decent odour free buzz.

i love smoking it in my pipe, the dry ice dries the trichs somewhat, the flavour is similar to scissor hash but obviously a lot cleaner

Nicely put with regards the old methods and sticky hands or tools from trimming…hash production is a good thought … thankx
