Hey guys new-ish grower here wondering wtf is going on with my plants. The top leaves are yellowing apparently. Some other leaves look like there might be some kind of deficiencies going on maybe? Whatever it is i don't know what's wrong or how to fix it. I was planning on flipping in the next few days but idk now. Need to resolve this issue ASAP, its

For the record I'm growing two DEATH STAR strains, and a GODFATHER OG. There on day 37 of veg. There in 5 gal pots, filled with happy frog soil. There in a 3x3 ac infinity grow tent with a ac infinity s33 ionboard light (240 watts LED)

Id imagine the happy frog food is wearing off about as im told it last about a month. I have floranova grow, I added a 1/8th tsp the watering before the last watering yesterday. I didn't want to add the recommended amount because I didn't know how much food is still in the happy frog and I don't want to burn my plants. Yesterday I waterd with 1/2 tsp recharge and dechlodinated tap water at 6.4PH / 6.3PH.

I've only grown a cpl runs so far. I crossed the finish line each time so far, but the weed wasn't anything to brag about. The first few runs you couldn't even smoke. The last one got bud rot bc I didn't have the right equipment and or it was basically bag seeds so bad genetics. I took like a year off from growing after that. I was frustrated with how it kept turning out so I took a break.

Now I'm back with good seeds, and the right equipment. Probably the best grow I've had so far. But now unfortunately I've run into so problems. I've forgot alot of knowledge during my time away from growing. I'm hoping all you guys can help me diagnose the plant problems.

Yellowing tops can be caused by too much bloom food too soon. Not the case if you haven't fed it with anything other than what you mentioned.
Another cause can be too much light. How close is your light to the canopy?
Have you changed the distance recently allowing it to be closer?

Others will chime in. Good Luck!

I wouldn't worry those yet much as you're going through a feed change. Quite healthy plants imo. Some little P/K issue with calcium being affected too there it seems. Just a guess though, I'm a hydro guy. If the runoff has acidic ph that can be one root cause.

Haven't added any bloom at all

I have a Uni-T light meter i use with my ppfd app on my phone. I recently moved the light farther away. The meter was a little over 600 ppfd 40dli in some spots so I moved it up so its not over 600 so idk if its the light but I've been wondering that too

Your plants look great. They have all of the characteristics of plants that have been given a good amount of light. There's lots of healthy leaves and the stems look thick, almost enough to think that you're using a silica supplement (highly recommended).

When cannabis receives too much light, it will try to "get out of the sun" by curling the edges of the leaves ("tacoing" or "canoeing") or by rotating the leaf like a Venetian blind. I don't see that in these photos. At 600µmol, your plants are well below the amount of light that cannabis needs to reach its genetic potential*.

It's good that you're using a Uni-T. A light meter will tell you how much light your plants are getting but only the plant will tell you how much light it can use. I've attached a copy of a document I wrote that provides information on converting lux to PPFD.

I suspect that the light coloration in your leaves is a nutrient imbalance and I think the symptom is called "interveinal chlorosis". Did you change your nutrient mix in the past week or two?

It's good that you've provided pictures but more information is needed to figure out what's going on.

You can use this graphic a good guide for telling us what's going on in your grow.

10 Parameters of Growth.png

*At this stage in their growth, your plants have matured their ability to process light (photosynthesis). I routinely give my plants, auto and photos, 600µmol by day 21 and they're at >900µmol by day 35.

P/k issue? I haven't really much run off and I haven't checked it. I didn't want to wash away to much of the food in the happy frog. Just

My plants are in fox farm happy frog. Been in the 5 gal pots for about a month now in vege. I started to see the deficiencies on the leaves so I figured the fox farm was running out of food so I added a very small amount of floranova grow to my watering. Like 1/8th tsp to make sure I didn't burn the plants incase I was wrong about the food being depleted. So long story long yes I kinda changed the feeding. So you think this will fix itself? Is it safe to flip it needto flip the plants are getting to big for my tent. Any tips would be great

So I checked the run off water with my phone meter and the ph was at 4.55. I checked the other plants and they were also low in that area. I googled what that means and one thing said "lockout." And to fix it, it said to ph water to close to 7ph so I ph it at 6.7/6.8 ph and waterd and checked it today when thr lights came on and it looks lighter thrn yesterday. Wtf

The radical ph fluctuation might have stressed the plant. Did you use nutrients in the 6.8ph water you added? Usually acidic means also high ec.

Hey I run happy frog in 5g buckets and at 37 days they would've been fed multiple times. Happy frog isn't as 'hot' as they say in my experience. I add in balanced granular organic fert b4 using soil and still would have probably fed bottled nutes at half strength 2 times by now. I'd bet they're starving.
