So i have a cheese plant shes day 66 , just a bit worried with how fast the tops are drying out? They feel quite leafy and very dry , the bottoms are in much better shape i feel. Is there anything i can do to help her finish without adding to her stress? I think she has about 2/3 weeks till i can chop but i dont see how tops can survive that without drying up to a crisp…

Shes in coco on canna nutes 85f 50rh plenty of fans

What kind of light u got and how bright is it and the height? How are you running the pot of coco, EC and times per day fed? Is it running off enough? What is the runoff EC? Does it get bone dry between feeds or a bit too dry or does it stay moist? Whata your water source and its EC?

85F is a bit hot thats when I start seeing some things but they make it pretty ok. The tops closest to light might suffer the most especially if your out of room for height.

Im in air pots i generally just send 2 litre ish of water a day and she does get dry between feedings, her runoff has been high at times as well ec wise so ive tried flushing her now n again. Should i feed her more often these last few weeks at a steady 1.5 ec ish? With just a and b and boost? What about pk for this week ? She had a pk feed a few weeks back also.. thanks appreciate the help

Sorry also the lights are 480 watt set to 1000 par mid canopy level , at the closest about 8 inches away currently from top buds

Sounds like the light is a bit strong on the tops and the dryback is too much causing salt build up. The flushing will help but only if you get things back on track. By adding an extra feed per day and increase runoff duration. Id only be giving them basic nutes like the canna a and b or whatever, Idk that brand well.

I wouldnt add anything else if the nutes have it all which they should. I just feed them maxibloom start to finish no additives.

Id keep adding an extra feed per day and increase runoff duration see how that helps in a week or few days, if its still too dry add another feed. The runoff can only runoff so much before its just all you can do is let it runoff a good amount.

Meaning you dont need to flush it every feed but good runoff wont hurt but if its already running off good, adding more runoff wont help. Adsing an extra feed per day will. If runoff still is high shes not eating and could be a nutrient dose issue meaning lower or raise ec.

Theres a sweet spot in my grow for any strain I just have to find it before flip or within two weeks of flip. If youre this far in looking for that sweet spot its gonna be tricky. It must of been alright because she dont look bad. It actually was tricky for me to diagnose just looking at it because its in ok shape.

I figured the proof would be in the pudding and sounds like it is.

Will follow those instructions mate and hope she makes it to finish line in decent shape, like i said some of lowers look really nice just how id expect and she has been neglected a bit as ive had 4 strains all on same feed etc just to make my life easier, will coax her to the finish line now and hope shes still a nice smoke… cheers mate will post pics when shes done

So yea I would dim the light some or raise it. Add an extra feed per day make sure theres plenty of runoff. If still acting up give another feed per day. Measuring ec in runoff will show the ec closer to input as you apply another feed per day. You want runoff numbers to be no higher than .3ec from input. This should get them back on track.

Il be honest first time i checked ec run off it was 6.0 ish thats when i dialed her food down but she has been stacking it again by looks maybe she is just a light feeder compared to others , will tailor her feed til the end now with checked run off, u think i can get away with a couple more pk feeds?

Runoff was 6.0ec?

Holy cow, thats the problem. People give me grief for using 1.7ec its a bit high but it needs it this pheno I have. .5ec is tap water.

It was a lesson at one point to me that just because a plant does fine one time dont mean it always will be. People go years not having issues or it could knock on your door the very next grow.

That the one time it does decide to crap on you, 99% probability its the signs you neglected. Its a miracle they look the way they do but I wouldnt be suprised if it goes to crap.

No offense homie just saying it like it is. We want to help and see us all grow dank medicine. This site has walked me through it all, feel free to ask if things go wrong its all a learning experiemce even 20 yrs into growing.
