Surprised to see Mendi isn't really a good debater, despite having great points and being well-prepared. I realize the format is not conducive to allowing someone to speak and then ripping into their points, but the constant interrupting by both sides is difficult to watch and someone has to be the adult in the room and lead by example. The "Sam Seder debates 20 Trump supporters" video (a few of them are the same from this video) was a far easier watch and he was more effective.Didn't know where to put this, so here it is. One on Twenty; Mehdi Hasan takes on all comers. It's lengthy, but well worth the time spent. The man comes with receipts.
That said, it did serve to illustrate where some young people's minds are and it's pretty shocking. The dude saying he's for authoritarianism and it should be voted on and then everyone loses their democratic ability to change a government power thereafter was amazingly stupid. Like, so stupid that guy has to be a troll and not serious, but unfortunately you just know he is serious.
