Mixing Delta 9 Oil with CBG Kief – Tips on Binding Agents, Ratios

Hi everyone,

I'm working on a project to press solid hash bricks using CBG kief as the base and Delta 9 THC oil.

I have a few questions and would really appreciate input from anyone with experience:

1. What’s a good ratio of oil to kief for a stable, solid result?


2. Have you had better success using lecithin (powder or liquid) as a binder/emulsifier?


3. Could terpenes (like myrcene or limonene) help with consistency or texture?


4. Would food-grade ethanol help bind or ruin the texture?

I’d really appreciate hearing from others who’ve done something similar.

Could you clarify why you think I won’t be able to come up with a centrifuge speed mixer? Is it due to availability, cost, or something else? Also, just to be sure — is this absolutely necessary for properly blending Delta-9 oil with CBG kief?

I’m not saying you cannot rig something up.

I am saying if you want a stable, homogeneous product, you will need equipment to ensure that.

A centrifuge speed mixer will give you the desired results.


They are quite expensive for one but if you have the funds, you can also use to separate terpenes and isolate, when you can add the anti bitter agent, some MCT, add that to whatever product you want and you have fast acting flavorless THC edibles….

I understand that a centrifuge speed mixer would be ideal for achieving a stable and homogeneous product, but since Im currently working on small scale experiments Im considering starting with something more affordable maybe a homogenizer or a vacuum mixer.

What do you think about these alternatives for mixing?Would they be sufficient for initial trials or is there a specific type of equipment you'd recommend that balances performance and cost?

Your alternatives will be fine if you are not needing an exact in-spec product. It is hard to make exact products in the cannabis industry without a large investor for equipment.
