I just got a master kush induced idea.

Ive decided to open up a smoke shop soon.

After all the legal shit is over with (licesne) ill need some products so ive looked up bong wholessalers and ive found http://www.planetbongs.com/ and was wondering if this would be a smart idea to purchase from. what should i do?

Never reveal the source of your products if your going into business.
Always try to find the source manufacturer of the product and try to broker a deal with them if you can before you buy from another middleman.

i dont know man, im planning on doing the same thing between my sister and I and were both taking classes to learn how to blow glass so that way we sell our own products and make the most profit possible. She also makes her own hemp jewelery that shes been selling for a couple years already so thats a start. You should look into learning how to make your own man. They sell a bunch of cheap glass thats breaks easily and i wouldnt personally buy if it was only 2 dollars.

i have worked for one of the big net based distributors of alternative products and had conversations over the phone with one of the biggest in europe about them ripping our products.

unless you really plan to dominate and provide everything that kind of individual might want there's a good chance you'll end up only making a few bucks and having to mess around - look at how many sites there already are

a lot of the sites are not what they appear to be, they're being run as networks by a couple of people pretending to be a bunch of different sites. they can then recommend people towards their main site with amazing reviews and chat. prices (sales) and products are not always what they seem to be.

it is very hard to deal with people ripping you off. not only are they small stores on the net, the kind of people behind them are not usually the kind of people who are going to play fair, they'll have fake addresses, use different names and deny any knowledge of what's going on.

you can do it but think hard about things like, what are you going to provide that isn't already out there. why will someone choose your store over the already big commercial adventures. and try not to let yourself be blinded, you need to really have how you'll reach people locked down

I don't know what state you are in (nationwise) but around here they hafta be ubber tight about never saying 'bong' or 'bowl' or any other drog-reference slang. They hafta call them 'water pipes' and junk.

Mite be different where you are, tho, but it mite not hurt to check, either.

same here, if you go into a smoke shop there's signs that say "we don't sell BONGS or BOWLS, bongs and bowls are for smoking marijuana we sell water pipes and glass pipes for tobacco" things along those lines

if you say bong you usually have to leave
