Trimming plandt to get thicker buds

Does anyone know which leaves are safe to cut off to generate more energy towards the branches with buds?

I checked out your Grow Journal but it was difficult to tell what had been trimmed. I'm almost a week into flowering and just found out that pruning the bottom would help out the buds on top. Mine aren't showing sex yet, should I prune or wait and try to tie them over once I've taken out any males. I may be able to shed more light on the plant once I have more room for them.

I would tie them over. Take clones from the under growth. That will allow light to get down where it needs to. A structure above your plants to give support helps too.
