he may be right, in the recorded time humans have been here on earth there's been a total of what...250 years of peace world wide?
but the fact that he's not sighing dejectedly, and instead passing it off in a"the sun comes up tomorrow" fashion is kind of an insight into who this alex4928 is and how he acts in real life.
i would probably not give you too many more chances at being friends after the first statement you made in this post..and im very far from a hippy/yuppy...most people would even think that im pro war, or some even on this forum have gone as far as to dub me a "Bushie"

the problem is, 90% of everyone acts entirely for themselves. until there is recognition in something or someone other than yourself, true recognition and acceptance, there will never be world peace. our nature is too entwined with selfishness and basic instincts to protect ourselves.

world peace...or any large scale peace has a .00000001% chance for success. Honestly, I think its foolish to think peace is possible on a large scale. I mean I can have peace within myself or in a group of friends or maybe even like at a school but any larger and I think people would start fighting again. Look at human nature people fight for many reasons so I mean give every man an equally hot women, give everyone the same (large) amount of money, give everyone the same thing so no one is envious and make only one religion and give everyone the exact same mindset and you still probably wouldn't have peace...
edit: I felt really peaceful yesterday when I accepted the world how it was. People will kill, insult, rob and do whatever but that's how it goes. I stopped caring and let it be and I felt peace but the world didn't change for shit.
