Finnally going to DWC!

I am making the long antisapated jump from soil to DWC for my mothers! Now my big questions are, what bucket size should I use? I have 5 gallon buckets ready to go, but something inside tells me to go with 3 gallons. What size pot in the lid should I use (6"-8"-10")? Should I use rockwool with clay pellets, or peat pellets with the clay pellets? Also since I am taking clones from my current mothers that are in soil, how large of new clones should I take to move to the new system? Any help would be great?

I have A SOG system going with A EBB & FLOW tray going now. I have all my hydro tools and nut's set and know how to use them... LOL! Just I am not doing well with the mothers in soil and can't seem to fix the plant's, so i am gonna do DWC and hopefully have A fresh start! I have heard finaminal stories about the DWC systems. So it sounds like the 3 gallons are the way to go? I have seen some setup's with A gauge on the side's that people have made, Doesn't alge start on them?

people have used silicon 1/2" tubing on the side to measure there solution, and I just thought that would be A bad idea? And I was gonna do the black buckets with the premade lids! Is everyone happy with there DWC setups? What size airstone in each bucket? I am running A 7psi pump for 4 buckets!

i love my dwc!! i will never go back to soil. i have 2 18" air stones in a 4 gallon rubbermade tub(for clones) with a shity air pump for a 60 gallon fish tank.

I made A 24 site ez-cloner with A rubbermaid tub,and dammm does it work great! here are some pics of the cloner

hate to burst your bubbles, but its better to leave moms in soil and leave hydro for veggin and flowering

IMO at least

That's the problem soil suck's! My sog system is flawless, even when I was just doing A normal hydro on A EBB & FLOW setup my hydro was great. I just want to know everyones opinion on DWC!

i'd hope so, reverting back a clone from bloom is a ridiculous task, all im saying is that i think you'll be more attracted to the results if you put your girls in hydro and their mommie in soil:weed:

Who cares what everyone thinks...
Flowering clones are simple to revert it just takes a lil time and patience,,, maybe 3-4 weeks tops in DWC (revert and re-cut)whats really bothering u man. Ive brought plants back from the dead in soil just give them what they need.

I just can't keep my soil set right and never have been able to in soil. I do great in hydro so was gonna stick with it! Seen and heard great things about the dwc so was gonna try it, what do I have to lose (I have flower'd mother's and brought them back to veg.....)
This is the deal I want to change it around and try something new!

Good luck bro.. Ive actually brought soil plants back to life from soil death in my hydro setup... Its about control... Full control of the environment ur plants live in. We all know what the right or proper reccomendations are, hydro just makes achieving these coinditions more simple. Simple is the word.

That's what I am saying is I do good with hydro! I will keep the soil setup going so I can practice and work out my kinks! I have 4 diff strains to play with so why not... I have ran A NFT system awhile back for my first setup and was not happy at all trying to clean that sys was a joke... That was my first hydro so mixing nut's and all that fun stuff I have down pretty good. This is my first soil run and not to fond of it, but like they say practice make's perfect... That is why I won't distroy my soil mother's I just want another option! I am A soil newbi and just learning my way around it!!
