Bingo.... For the AVERAGE JOE, the best return is ZERO.
For the ABOVE AVERAGE JOE, it is best to OWE money to the Govt.
For the BELOW AVERAGE JOE, you're given other peoples money so it's a moot point.

You did the right thing and you are not alone. I read a long article on this a few months back and the editors were saying DON"T do it...
I guess they wanted to keep their jobs...... I just chuckled and said "right, sure".Mattress? Wohoo!!! Sleepover at DIEM'S place!! Go to bed with a rufie and wake up naked wet and broke.... woohoo....
Seriously tho, there is money to be made in crisis times.... the best and truest way without getting into mechanical specifics is to find out where the money will be flowing.... and follow it. You only need stay ahead of 50% of the herd to start to make do-re-me in a big way.
The calm man standing in a panic will pick up all the lost change.....unless it's a five alrm fire, then he gets incinerated....

Listening to all these financial advisers is like asking a drug dealer "is it good..?"..
like you'll get the truth at the expense of their profits....... The whole lot need locking up.... they even catch Madoff trying to send out chegues after the watch thing and yet free he still be.. and the judge says he's no threat to society..I'd hazard a guess that all the people who's lives are ruined feel that they may as well been shot.. and that their lives were threatened... and so is/was society..

Madoff needs to be behind bars. He stole 50 million dollars from people, during a time when markets were crashing. How is that not being a danger to society? Just because they don't expect him to car jack and shoot someone doesn't mean he isn't just as dangerous. To me white collar crime is just as dangerous as being mugged. Stealing is still stealing.
Befrigged double standards, now, what if Madoff had been caught with 50 million dollars worth of weed? Would he be a danger to society then? hell yes.........

Wasn't it 50 Billion...??? Besides rape and murder.. most crimes you're over it in a short while.. but taking all someones retirement money affects them till they die............ and how many will/may commit suicide... hence manslaughter charges would apply in a perfect world...

This has happened with mandatory sentencing.
Where is Madoffs mandatory sentence?

Apparently stealing a pile of cash isn't a crime in a judges eyes. Hell the judge probably got a nice kick back for letting the dude stay in his own home. Judges are for sale too........
