im a religious molasses user, i have used it since grow #1 and have ALWAYS had some great weed, i dont want to jinx it

mollases all the way...about 2tsp per gallon with or without nutes...i go about 3 x a week after 3 weeks in flower outdoor and at 3 weeks constant in flood table....

Do you grow organic?

And if you've used it since grow #1, how do you know if it really makes a difference?

Not trying to be a prick, but when I started my 1st grow I used molasses as well. However, further research here and other sites have convinced me that molasses is only beneficial in an organic grow, as the microorganisms in the soil break it down into something the plant roots can actually absorb. Otherwise, you're just adding minerals to your water/nutes.

I use it when I start flowering. every other water and I use 3 tbsp per gallon of water. you can use it from veg, but i find it can change your soil alot and make it gummy, so i prefer to start at flower.

if it doesnt help... it doesn't hurt. no harm. no foul.

Personally... I used it my first grow and it was great. I didnt use it my 2nd grow and I could tell a difference from the two. ive used it every grow since with no issues. The way I see it .... its not hurting anything to use it with the possibility that it does benefit the plant.

Well I thought it could actually be harmful if it just builds up in the soil with nothing to break it down. And if you're already adding minerals like epsom salt, lime or whatever, then wouldn't too much Mg for example (which molasses is fulll of) block-out other minerals like Mn?

Again I'm just trying to learn. I really want to believe that molasses will help even with my chemical nutrients; especially now during flowering.

(sigh) yet another reason why I'm going organic next time.

as far as my experience goes..ive read for sometime that boosts and additives are just overpriced mollases substitutes so last year i decided to isolate 2 of my plants and feed them nothing but the fox farm basics and mollases the other 4 i used the fox farm basics and the tripack with mollases..i experienced no difference in growth or yeild between the six...this year im going to have 2 set to the side that get no mollases..but as far as additives and boosts go..im through with them...its mollases all the way for boost until i prove to myself that it doesnt work...:weed:
