Indeed I agree with lampshade, by the way crazy name. I would flush maybe once again before feeding nutes. I just went through a little ph crisis and I use organics and I flushed twice before feeding nutes again but thats just me.

I am noticing that the brown part was kinda moist and not so crunchy. but now after i flushed they are drying out. is that a good thing?

My plants are in about week 5 of flowering and my top growth looks like crap, the buds look fine and so do the bottom leaves.

I'm using the house-garden.us nutrients.

and i had ph problems a while back but that should be taken care of.

any help much appreciated!

what kinda of set-up are you running???are you using organics or syn's???did you flush with a mild-nutrient solution or did you not put nuts in the water at all???you said the ph is 5.7....i will assume your using a recirculating hydro set-up...ebb and flow???if this is the case when you flush in hydroponics use a mild nutrient solution if it is FloraKleen.....and with Clearex..you change the water out with fresh water add Clearex run your cycle twice and then change again..add nuts...mildly at first....then back on normal schedule with in a day.....i also thought ...how often do you change your resevoir...doing this more often can save you from a lot of problems..especially defiencies...phosphorus..is defiently something to watch out for during flowering..mainly cause your plant uses more of it....

its a drain to waste. the plants are rock wool only. i just flooded them with triple the amount of plain ph adjusted water.
(and i always ad a few drops per gal of 35% h202 to keep things clean in my res so i don't get nasty stuff growing that caused the ph fluctuation and problems in the first place. )

you shouldn't have to flush true organics..theres simply nothing there to flush....

sorry that last post was meant for someone else....drain to waste systems are a lot easier to manage..do you have a airstone in the resevoir?????that will help with the algae growing also is the resevoir covered...light and heat will cause growth...well humidity as well.

a thing to remember in hydro..is your micro life that are usually abundant in soil setups....are not so abundant on their own in hydro setups.....Big Bloom is awesome for replenishing your micro environment after a good flush.......mixed with some stuff called Liquid Karma...Botanicare.

i can tell you from personal experience that ....ph problems definetly led to other defiencies with your imobile trace elements...iron ..magneseum...calcium....etc. something to keep in mind

what color are the leaves of your plant.......is there a tint of blue to them..do they look bluish-green??

generally after a phosphorus deficiency has been corrected the leaves that have been badly affected will dry up and die....its normal nothing you can do about it....learn from it...are you using hardwater ...tap water .. or distilled water??

I had the exact same problem. What i decided to do was to empty my whole water tank and scrub any remaining nutes left in the tank. I then flushed my babies with normal tap water and filled my water tank with half strength nutrient solution.

Recently I have been watching them and they appear to fighting back strong by dramatically growing taller, more bushy and look healthy green!


Always remember to check the pH as that for me was critical to keep my plants healthy and strong, also many different strains require different pH level so you need to find the right level aswell as making sure you have the right nutrient measurements for your plant.
