1. how many plants (MAX) can i have under a 600 HPS in a room fully maylared that is 9ft high, and 5x5 width??

as for the lamp height you just have to use your experience it depends on the grow space and temps.
a rough guide 16"-20" till you find the comfort level then start lowering it when you know the plants can handle it.

wow i have usually 8-12 plants under that light... some of my buds get thick some are skimmpy that problaly why..... daaaaaamn!!! can you send me a printable copy of that table?!?!?!

thats a really vague question.... as said above about six monsters or hell even 30 plants on a sog setup, first off it depends on weather your plant is more indica or sativa, also as far as the light height goes it all depends on your grow room, i am growing in a room in my basement that has three of four walls that are cement and before i was growing the room was a steady 60 degrees year round and i keep my 400w hps about four inches from the tops of my plants down there, but if your room has a base temp of like 80 degrees your lookin at more like 18 inches with fan cooling for the light. hope that helps

Yea that helps!!! I have all indica, the room is 9ft hig and 5x5 in width, i am in a dry warm climate the room is about 78-84 with home a/c, i have a wall a/c for further in the summer. I have been doing about 1ft or les from plants. This is like my 7 grow and i usually have 8-12 plants under that light. i was going to put like 30 cause i just made a new aero cloning unit with 35 sites and an 8 site hydro bubbling system. i was going to try to cram like 30 plant in that room. i guess i can i just need more like....
