my neghbors just died in a trailer fire it wasnt a grow op but it is fire. i just wanted to make a thread on how to prevent fire. this is no joke please give tips

Simple things like dont grow with an HPS in a cardboard box. Dont make stupid mistakes like putting water next to a ballast. Dont grow if your common sense section of the brain doesnt work. Things that are accidental are things such as lights falling. Make sure shits bolted down tightly before running your operation. Check on everything constantly. Dont use more electricity than your house can handle. Simple things like that. Pretty much what you'd do to prevent your computer or stove from burning the house down.

wow i really wish this thread would get started this is kind of an important one i thought. well anyways i was at wallmart a lil bit of go and saw they have power strip with fuses in them just incase it blows the circut i figured getting one of these is a great thing

I think this is a good thread, dont ahve much to contribute myself but am interested in learning -- dont want to have to explain to the insurance company my house burnded down from my indoor vegetable garden.

using drywall with with a high fire rating would be a great idea either in your grow room or lining what your growing in.

Id say, make sure your wirings all good and keep it accesible, but tucked away. I wanna pay attention to this since IM gonna e doing a PC box and I'll probably have to do some soldering to hook up my fans. So I figure, wiring's gonna be my concern.

https://www.rollitup.org/<object width=No joke at all. My aunts house caught on fire and totaled the downstairs and most the upstairs. What the fire and water didn't ruin the smoke did. Two days after xmas.

I will say she had her important documents in a firesafe she got at walmart for 30$ and it made it through fine. Firemen brought it right out for her(once they were done). It was a rough time, she went kinda crazy. Sat in her driveway crying for almost 24 hours.. Wasn't crying so much once she got the insurance check, but she still lost almost everything. It was nuts. A cigarette started it they said.

Watch this video, put things into perspective a little.

Srry for your aunt bro, that sucks. Ive had similair things happen to my friends place. But they say it was faulty wiring, from the renovation of the place. But Ive seen a house that had 3 methlabs in it catch on fire, first it was only in the basement but within 5 mins of it there was a explosion of the 3rd methlab on the mainfloor which in one fowl swoop engulfed the house in flames, which my phone didnt brake, I had a vid of it. But it wasnt news where I lived, Meth Capital of the world St. Louis MO.SOOO glad I aint there anymore.

I think every place there is a meth problem calls itself the meth capital..Shits nasty

It was just unreal. Theres been a few times in my life where I have been absolutely 100% speachless and standing there watching the firemen rip out the walls and ceiling after the fire was out was one of them. Even after the fire is out they continue ripping down walls to make sure there are no embers left in them that could reignite it.

Its one of my biggest fears of growing. Fire
