Shit was great. Guy had a distillery in his house and cops had a search warrant. Came in and in the little daughters bedroom closet was a grow op. I wouldn't even call it a grow op. Anyway he had 14 clones in her closet under a 2 foot flouro that looked sickly as hell. Shit cracked me up. Anyone else here like watching Cops?

What makes me the most angry is when people know they are carrying something they shouldn't and the officer asks to search them and they say yes anyway. If an officer has to ask to search you then he does not have a RIGHT to search you.

i think what bugs me the most about cops, that makes me turn the channel when they start doing it, is when they raise their voice yelling at people to get them to comply. I know it draws fear out of people when cops are screaming orders at them so it makes people get on their knees for pigs, but that shit isn't right when you are a "peace officer"

Man I totally agree with you. I get so pissed off when do an illegal stop that leads into an illegal search, which leads a guy to jail for having a roach or a some cocaine dust in an empty bag. It infuriates me.

It bothers me when the dudes whip out the card with the Miranda Warning to read them. Just the sheer numbers of people they arrest - you would assume that an officer of atleast BELOW average intelligence would know Miranda by sheer repetition on the job. So it makes me think; do these cocky assholes normally DO NOT read Miranda to the arrested. Which makes me question how they act when the cameras aren't around. I know the Miranda Warning in its entirety solely because of watching COPS. I never studied it but the repetition of hearing it ingrained it in my mind. You can literally wake me up at 4 a.m. and ask me the Miranda Warning and the theme song to Cops and I will sing both with 100% accuracy and cadence and these guys who arrest people daily need a cheat sheet???

The over-aggressiveness really bothers me. I have seen them be overly aggressive especially with non-violent people. You hear cries of "quit resisting" "I'm nooooooooooooot - ow ow ow - stop" far too often. They use the tazers way too much.

Other times it is pure comedy. My wife and I will sit down and just make fun of the idiots and their stupid excuses. We love seeing guys that are just being jerkoffs / assholes get tazed. The cops who are all amped up, out of control, and yelling at the top of their lungs shouting out commands and what they fail to realize is that they are the person least in control at the scene.

my sister got arrested last month and she asked "arent you going to read me my rights" the cop says "ha! this isnt the show cops!!" she has a trial set for august. shell get off.

my favorite cops episode is of the one where this lady calls the cops saying she gave her dealer 20 bucks for some crack but she didnt get anything and she wants her money back lol. the sheer stupidity of people. she ended up getting arested

They don't have to read you the Miranda Warning when you are arrested and the police have no intention of questioning you.

they didnt read her rights at all... if you get arrested and they dont read you your rights youll get off. the mirand rights thing came from this guy who kidnapped and raped a girl but was let go because he wasnt read his rights about self incrimination. the right to remain silent.

That is not true at all. They are not "Miranda Rights" they are "Miranda Warning." And they do not have to read them to you upon arrest.

A simple google / wiki search will tell you all that Miranda deals with.

This isn't true. I've gone through this in the legal system so let me tell you how it works.

You aren't 'under arrest' until A. the cop says so and puts you in handcuffs or B. the judge does the e-fax to the cop with an emergency arrest warrant. Until either of those conditions are met, you are 'under detainment' and there is no Miranda warning issued, they can even legally transport you to the jail for 'detainment.' Once you ARE under arrest, they are legally required to notify you about your rights. If they do not notify you of your rights and begin grilling you, say nothing, at all, not even about them not having read yo your rights. That's your ticket out.

when my sister told the judge that she wasnt read her rights or warning or whatever you wanna call it my sister pleaded guilty but the judge said "i have an ethical duty to have you plead not guilty" and she refused to take my sisters guilty plea and made her plea not guilty and she set a court date. once youre under arrest they have to read it to you otherwise youre a free man...

There is no point in arguing with you because a simple google search will show you over and over again that you DO NOT have to be read your Miranda Warning once arrested. It is only once formal questioning begins (you mentioned this - but it is not upon arrest).

cuz the cop wasnt there so she said she cant just take what my sister said without the cop being there to defend himself. so she set a trial for everyone to be there to defend and say their side of the story.
