I've been looking at decoctions and tinctures and the like, because I'm an amateur herbalist.Very amateur,lol.I keep a few wild beneficial herbs that I've dried around the house, never done an extraction yet. Ever done cactus?What's the best way to do it, you think?

Ya know, I heard somewhere. That reed canary grass (plants that grow EVERYWHERE, or at least where I live) They pretty much just grow wild like on the sides of the roads and stuff heres a picture:

Now, this is a really long shot, but I heard that there is a considerable amount of DMT in the leaves. If you extract a good amount you can smoke it and.. well trip on DMT. :mrgreen:

heh.. I've been working on some new music (I make techno), so I've been writing and mixing for the majority of the day the passed week ;-).

I would enjoy that very much to shep..Anything to make a trip more intense..which I find that kind of music to be perfect for me.
 
:eyesmoke:dmt is in something close to you~but good luck extracting it. Yes it's very possible to do, and not so hard with somethings (like mimosa). i know colorado reed grass has it, prairie mimosa, and a couple of other plants that are pretty much all over the us. datura, have that in my garden too. I don't plan on doing the datura though. if you live near the desert you probably have plenty of ephedra around.


hey ya'll never mind me.. i been trying my newest crop, a NL mix. great STONED high, but it really has me punching a lot of wrong buttons:eyesmoke:

hey stoney, cacti are my favorite thing :mrgreen: i suggest the recipe by mj shroomer at erowid, with a few changes. Use RO water, and add one lemon per pound of cactus. make sure to let it go for at least five hours, and I've had the best results adding extra water and cooking it over night. of course at the lowest possible setting and I'd use a gas burner if you can. I also cut out the core, as it seems inactive and seems to increase nausea. I find 3 lbs per person very intense and enjoyable

hope this helps. Extractions are not supposed to be that hard either, But they have been doing it this way for thousands of years and it works VERY well.
