Lighting to use in dark period?

Hi, I was wondering if there is a specific bulb/type of light that a plant can't tell is there? The reason I ask is because the summer solstice will be coming up in a week, and I will need access to my 2 outdoor beauties at night to inspect them.

Plants don't respond to green, they reflect it, which is why they appear green to us.
I'm pretty sure a blacklight would come under the type of uv that plants react to.

i got 2 foot t8 green one works it wont affect the photo peried

go like spencers and im sure u could find one eazy pie with bal

if you could avoid going in there at all during dark period. just opening the door and letting light in can stress them and make it a longer wait

although green works i wouldnt use it for more than 5 minutes a night and only a few times a week, im sure its not good for them...maybe im wrong though

Green light isn't photosynthetically reactive, meaning the plant is effectively blind to it.
Is there any reasoning to your argument besides you being sure?

thanks for the responses, I work at a hardware store and we sell green tinted CFLs, would these work, or would the CFL mess it up?

If you're not gonna be there long, use any flashlight. These guys are telling you differently but it wont make any difference as long as you're quick. Especially since its outside. A night of full moon is more likely to cause problems than a few min of low light. I go into my grow room all of the time with a flashlight and I've never had a problem.
