Pics and problems still unsure

Hello from a first time grower, Our girls (from bag seed) have been under 600 hps 12/12 lights since May 12.

On 6/17 we posted some pix here to diagnose what was happening with a couple plants. With y'all's help we started to treat one for calcium deficiency by spraying with garden lime, we also fertilized her with the lime in the next watering. We sprayed for about a week without any positive results, leaves looked worse. We stopped treating the condition, thinking we could be making it worse.

The second plant (we thought looked mag def) we posted pix of we received different suggestions including one to stop spraying crap on your plants, that's just what they do at this stage....so... we didn't treat that plant at all. At next watering we fertilized with Pura Vida Bloom.

Its been 1 1/2 weeks since the first post and the problems are getting worse. So would y'all look at these pictures and tell us what you think? Is it normal for the leaves to deteriorate at this stage of growth? look like this?

hard to argue with that ph, sweet water indeed
something in there that's a bit toxic, have the waterings been sufficient to cause plenty of runoff, i.e. salt buildup maybe?

I've been watering the 3 gal pots until there is maybe 3/8" runoff in the tray. I'm thinking of flushing all the plants that are showing problems, any reason not to?

probably a safe bet, just do it as part of your regular watering schedule
your 2nd plant looks pretty good overall, did the leaf issue just start?

what you might be seeing is partly a history of an old problem, and the beginning of a new problem
leaves won't completely recover, they resume growing and get larger, but will have the damaged part of the leaf persist
3/8 of an inch of runoff might be too little, hard to say without the exact volume of runoff compared to the volume of the pot
a moderate flush should cause no harm, and may well do some good. start with pure water to get rid of any junk in there, then add your nuted water, where the water will be light on nutes

Thanks for helping. It'll be a day or so before they need watering, will plan to do the flush then. I'll post back here with any new developments.

Hey Growone, you've been a big help, much thanks. I plan to flush 3 plants when its time to water again. This AM one of those plants needed watering so I flushed. After reading many threads and the "bible" I still wasn't 100% positive of the process. Seems like much of the info about flushing is about doing it 2 weeks before harvest to rid the plant of fertilizer taste. FYI: With the bagseed plants I don't know if I'm 2 or 4 weeks from harvest. This is what I did. Plants in 3 gal planters. I flushed with a gal of distilled water. Let it sit for 10 min. flushed with another 1.5 gal of distilled. Then I flushed with 6 gal. of well water (ph 6.5). Then flushed/watered with one gal. of water with 1/3 strength PuraVida Bloom (3 t.) and 1 t. of molasses. (I'm thinking of adding molasses to all my waterings until harvest.) Total of 9.5 gal. of water used (for the 3x 3 gal. planter size.) The thing I'm most unsure of is: Should I have put fertilizer in that last gal. of water? Not really sure this is the "moderate" flush you were suggesting. Gonna flush the other 2 in the next day so thought I'd see if there were any opinions/suggestions about the process I used. Thanks again.

wow! that's the full 3 x pot volume of water. that is what is recommended by a lot of growers. your problems didn't seem that severe, so that is plenty of water. the extra water shouldn't do any harm.

i think the 1/3 strength nute you used was an excellent idea. i've had great luck with molasses, highly recommended.

watch your 1 plant, make your best judgment with the next 2 plants
