Problems with cloning

right i've recently done some clones. 2 skunk#1's & 2 bagseed. using a propagator,fleximex cubes and clonex. under a 200w cfl. mist them every so often. how longs can roots take to show and wat hour schedule shall i keep.

roots can take a week or two from fresh growth a bit longer from older growth. i never go 24h 18/6 works fine

too much light and too much moisture. no misting if you're using a dome. the effect is similar to over watering.

also you could remove the lower leaves. less to keep alive at the top while rooting. those look big.

i've only got a 200w cfl.blue spec or a duel 400w hps.

im getting confused. do i put any water at all in the propagator. or should the only wet thing in there be the cubes?

just the cubes. moisten them when they need it, but misting is not necessary.

also, the next time, cut more off, leaving only the top, and one node below the medium or cubes.

can someone elaborate on this. i found 2 girls abd wanna clone more!!!!!!!!! but don't wanna waste them. still no roots showing on these 4 i already did the othere day before i found any signs of preflowers

I cant stress this enough,always cut your clones stem under the water to stop an air bubble forming in the stem and always trim the leaves in half,all of them.
I have also found that clones respond better to 24/0 light schedules.

personally i never have cut under water or the leaves.. and i know Ed cuts the leaves... i say hog wash....

that being said... Your technique is the superior technique...

(i hate that part)


but i still say hogwash and unneccessary

Well i was led to believe that an air bubble can form in the stem but i have to admit that i do not know for sure if this is science fact or science fiction.
Removing half of the leaf i was also led to believe would reduce the chance for rot etc. and also send the growth hormones in the plant down to the planted stem,i also have to admit that i have no proof of any of this so it may well be hogwash lol,but its what i do
