I really need help

hi basically i havent done this before.. but have been reading up on lots for the last 2 months.. i really need help with my grow box.. what should i use..? a cabinet ? lined with mylar.. and what are good but cheap lights to use.. i heard someone saying about energy save bulbs.. i only want to grow one plant at a time.. indoor..

hopefully you have some feminized seeds man, bettin it all on on plant can be a waste. But yeah get cfls and add a grow light in there too, it will help alot. You can use anything youd like to grow in, an old dresser works good, or a cabinet, paint it white on the inside and youll be good.

thanks alot i actually bought 2 feminized seeds =] and ermmm yeah would there be anything else i will be needing ? nothing will catch alight would it.. and hoow big approx.. im thinking of buy a cabinet from somewhere any ideas ?

but hes right you can use 26w cfl for vegging but! make sure they say 6500k daylight for veggi

And 2700k for flowering! anything over 26w is perfect 13w is ok too i gues..just need alot

jaythejoint.. how many of these bulbs would i need to put up one of each ? as i am only growing one plant at a time ? and would you be able to send me a link of these bulbs so i would have a brief idea of where to purchase from.. also i do not have anything to put the bulbs into.. :S

how big a cabinet should i get.. im thinking of putting a bowl of water in the cabinet for humidity.. and moisture.. and a pot for just one plant.. and how should i put the lights in... sorry im new to this.. and urgentlyy need to grow and make this perfect..

i admire your wanting to get it perfect, but this first time your biggest yield will most likely be the knowledge you obtain from it. u need a intake and outtake fan too. and either white dull paint or mylar for the cabinet walls. i'd reccomend screen of green or lst so a screen and/or soft yarn too. ph meter is needed. you will need both flowering and veg nutes and if your worried about smell a carbon filter. i'll list any more if i think of em later.

not really bothered about smell i will pat the cabinet white.. is it flat white paint i need ?

do you think you could give me and approx on the lengths of the cabinet for one plant.. i am planing to put in a bowl of water with the pot.. i am not really bother about the thermometer or the ph meter.. i was planing to make a whole and jus put my normal fan against it for air circulation..

what about the lights.. need cheapest ones for electricity bill..

y splitters, powerbar, the sockets that plug right into a wall outlet (the powerbar in this case is what actually we'll plug it into.) surge protectors are nice, a timer for flowering.

this is all complicated stuff i just want to keep the grow b ox really simple... and get things later.. dont even have enough money for everything yet.. so yeahh

you'll be unsatisfied unless you use at least 2 42w cfls.. and that's really really pushing it but get 1 socket y-adapter and use 2 42w cfls. the socket provides a great angle for the lights as more light is emitted off the sides as opposed to the top. try to diy a reflector, cfl takes alot of tinkering

ok so basically i just need 2 cfls 42w attached to the sides right ? and i will be sorted.. ? i know how to do the rest.. of the growing.. but no idea of lights.. want the cheapest for elcetricity bill

lights are charged by kilowatt hour, you do the math, 2 lights is pocket change per month. since you only have 2 try to keep them on top of the plant. cfl's are only used on the sides as supplemental lighting, you don't want to confuse the plant, it want's to grow up.
