New grow - help with lighting

Hey man,

Sounds like you're overwatering the plants if your soil stays wet 3-5 days at a time. Wait for the the pots to be really light before you water again and when you do give them water let some of it seep through the bottom of the pots.
Also, don't worry too much about underwatering them if you're around and keeping an eye on them. If it does come to that, watering will provide immediate relief (literally within 15 minues)....it's much better than having your roots rotting in a pool of mud at the bottom of your container.

hey man i would most most definately put your lights way way closer to your plants keep them like 3-4 inches away from the light at all time

Yeah i was reading that and was a bit confused - especially in this heat. The plants look fine except for some drooping leaves (heat and they needed a good watering). I transplanted the slower growing one outside with the other one and it seems to have taken fine. I am inducing flowering to sex them and then can (if its under 2 weeks) revert them to Veg 18/6?

My clones are rooting one set has air roots from the humidity which is kinda cool. They need a few more days ( one is almost 5 days old). I will plant those in soil and keep them alive in case i cant change my flowering ones back to veg.

So it looks like the two plants indoors are males.. But the outside ones haven't showed signs yet - i will be adding clones from one outdoors one the flowering room tonight. here are pics of the (what i believe to be) male pre-flowers.

hmmm....dont see balls .....but youl know....
damn balls....

You sure? My last plant looked like that but il check when the lights come back on and report back. Ive got my fingers crossed.

Im transplanting clones tonight. The ones from the outdoor plant and see what they show hopefully not male..

yeah those pics kinda look like male plant but .... id wait until the balls show more....

Il get some more up when the lights come on. Some of the outdoors are looking female so all is not lost if there is a sausage fest indoors.

Clones - one outdoor and the other are from the indoors: i dont know whats wrong with them. Anyone have any ideas?

I didnt really pH the water and soaked them overnight and they were put in a small tray in a plastic bag. they had roots in about 1 to 1 1/2 weeks. They are in soiless mix.

some times with clones you want to put a little humidity dome over them....
i simply cut soda bottles ... and put em over the pot with litle air hole...
to keep em humid...
see clone dont have big roots...
so you should foiler feed... spray em... with water..
dont putt clones in really hot areas with dome....'
cause theyll fry.....
keeep um by a window sill for rhe first week or two.. with mini dome...
and then when theyre mmore rooted ...take off dome ...puttem in heat....

well in the first weeks ...clones main goal is the roots....rooting
so lights not that important..... what important is that the plant stays moist .... or fed...
and without roots ... the plant cant feed itself....
floros wont burn it .... just spray them once a day....

hmm then something else is wrong..

So i took at look at the plants and im confused. are these male or female? They kinda look male but not the same as my last plant i had.. do the flowers look different on a stiva and indica?

the last two are the outdoor ones - i dont think they are showing any signs yet.

Its to tall cause i cloned the bottom too quickly for a friend.

The plant seems to not grow anymore because it looks like it had already starting budding - is this right? If so would it be a good idea to cut it (the above post)

yeah dude i always take clone a week before .... right when i start.... or a week or two after flowering.....
but i did notice after about 2 to 3 weeks in flower ..... clones wont root ....
however you could putt it back into a 16/8 light cycle in order to ingnite new growth.....
cause under 12/12 .... plant dont grow very much .... only the buds....
