well ya 12/12 is the basic concept, but indoors its as easy as flipping the lights off at the right time each day.

outdoors it involves bringing the plant inside for total darkness for 12 hours or building some kind of tent to keep the lighting perfect at 12/12

Remember the plant will double even triple in size during flowering so make sure you have the space if doing indoor - or you can train the branches to grow lower to the pot using the LST technique

If your worried about size issues, especially with the stretch when flipping your lights, go to your local hydro store, and get Humboldt County's Own Bush Master. Use it at no more then the recommended dosage. This stuff works wonders, it stops all vertical growth within two applications.
