Hmm, very good point. I doubt he would have gone "all in" for a city other than Chicago. Well done sir.Would he have been as interested in "national pride" if say, Dallas or some other city besides Chicago had put the bid in instead? Of course, theres no way to ever know.
what, you put your comments in outline form to lend some credibility to bullshit? if you are an American, you should be ashamed of your own bad self.Obama was smacked down by his own elitism. Don't blame the Beck for doing his job. If you actually read up on the Chicago story, you will find Obama, cronies, and friends all lined up to make millions while the city of Chicago (who didn't want the games), footing the bill.
The fact that Obama went over there personally is a sign that
A.) He's completely enamored with himself
B.) He thought it was a slam dunk
c.) He is naive and a sloppy politician
D.) He's worn out his welcome in Europe, and elsewhere.
Blah, blah, blah, did you guys see the video of Brazilian girls celebrating in the streets compared to the video of Chicago, i think they made the right choice.
I'm assuming this is an alternate of choice question. If so, you should have included "E" ... "All of the above."Obama was smacked down by his own elitism. Don't blame the Beck for doing his job. So you not blaming him....remember what you post ...won't make you look dumb laterObama supported it because his friends stood to gain by it. Chicago didn't want the Olympics, Obama did.
Going over before you know it's a lock is naive. If it was a lock, then the Olympic Committee slapped Obama down a notch. Either way it's a lose/lose proposition.
You can bet your bottom dollar if Chicago got the nod, Obama himself would have grabbed the spotlight. Now that he got the very personal boot, no tit for tat? let's just keep it fair. he blew it, and Chicago is glad he did. I am too. The USA cannot afford to host the games.
